Payroll AU - Add tracking to Start and End Timesheets
Tracking Categories do not show in Xero Me mobile app when I approve my employees' timesheets. This means I cannot check that they have allocated their time to the correct Tracking Categories, so I have to approve timesheets on the computer making Xero Me useless for Timesheet approvals. Please show Tracking Categories in the Xero Me timesheets app.
Hi everyone 🤚 thanks for the idea and support. I thought I'd pop in here to share that it can be possible to have your tracking options show in the Xero Me mobile app when approving timesheets. However to do this you'll need to choose the Total hours worked timesheet setting (instead of the Start & end hours option). Appreciate that this may not be suitable in all our customer's workflows, so we'll continue to monitor interest in this idea.

When adding an address to a timesheet entry, it would be extremely useful to have the option to include a note specific to that address.

I use tracking categories this way for job costing. No option for staff to select the job like if you were using total hours . Please look to fixing this.

It would be great if when using the Start and End Hours option that employees could still select their tracking category (eg public holiday not worked, Saturday worked etc).
Our CEO wants us to enter our start and finish times (as well as unpaid breaks) however it is creating a lot of extra work (and potential errors) where I have to go and manually enter hours for public holidays etc.
Is this something that is being looked at being updated so that it can be done please?

Can tracking options currently be selected via Xero me app timesheet and then approver reviews options selected before approving?

Employees to be able to add tracking categories in the 'Start and end hours' timesheet setting, rather than a payroll administrator having to do it manually before approving.

Tracking categories would be an excellent feature. At the minute payroll is the only element of Xero I can't assign to a site or Job. So when Payroll is done I have to manually Journal based on information the client has kept which is a pain

XeroMe - Ability to enter Tracking Category (ie. Location / Project)
This option is available when entering Timesheets via the web interface, but not via the app.
Similarly, the ability to enter start / end times is available for the XeroMe app, but not via the web interface.
It would be extremely beneficial if both Timesheet interfaces allowed the same features - ie. the ability to enter both start / end times and to select a Tracking Category. -

Tracking categories need to added to the Xero Me app when start and finish times are entered. It is a critical piece of the timesheet that is missing when tracking is used within a business. The timesheet feature is now useless to me without this information.

I can’t believe they have released this without being able to add tracking categories via the Xero ME App. It’s also useless to me without thus functionality. I was so looking forward to this being released … now back to the old spreadsheets for me 😒

The timesheets approvals section of the Xero Me app needs to show the same amount of detail as it does on the web page. I cannot approve timesheets on the app because I cannot see a breakdown of the daily hours and which tracking categories each employee has assigned their hours to. This is really important for our business because we use tracking categories to track projects.
