NZ Payroll - Ability to log start/end times in timesheets

The upgrade allowing start and end times and breaks to be entered into timesheets looks fantastic. Please can you let NZ users have access to it too.

Thanks for your strong feedback on logging start and end times in NZ Payroll timesheets. We understand some of you are currently using workarounds or additional softwares to track start and end times.

I'm pleased to let you know we're moving this idea to In discovery, which means the product team is now reviewing the viability of this feature. This is an important step as we explore what it would take to bring this functionality to NZ Payroll and how it could best serve your needs.

We'll keep you updated as we learn more.

    Agree with everyone else - we are required to record breaks. This should be available asap.

    Unbelievable that NZ doesn't have this. Make it a non compliant recorder of hours that doesn't shows wage rest and breaks as legally required. Australia got this two years.

    Without the ability to have start & finish, it passes through manually 3 people to get the right inputs

    Introducing timebands to the NZ payroll would be a huge improvement on the current timesheet. In thier current format the timesheet only allows for total hours to be entered. Unlike the AUS verion where timebands can be entered to show the employee and employer start / finish times / breaks. This is really important to employers prior to approval.
    PLEASE upgrade the NZ version asap.

    Yes, this would be ideal. I have clients who are having to look outside of Xero because this is not available.

    Please can you add into the timesheet an ability to put break times in so we can keep track of them.

    Why has this not been done already, seems the only payrolls systems out there with no start or finish times

    This is something our business needs! We will have to look at using other payroll software if this is not something we are able to access moving forward.

    We need to be able to add start and finish times for our employees. The xero me app is not suitable for our business without this option. We would like to move to electronic timesheets in xero and will do so if this becomes available in NZ.

    The timesheet as it stands is very basic and really needs to be updated to include time bands (start and finish). Australia have this option but not in NZ. Why???
    This is a critial component to time records and is available in many of Xero's competitors software (PaySauce, KeyPay to name a few). PLEASE upgrade asap!

    Does xero read these threads? Lots of questions about when we will get this facility but i cant find a single reply from xero????

    The current timesheet functionality is very limited with only total hours entererd. Having the ability to enter start and finish times and breaks would dramatically enhance the timesheet app. It seems that this functionality can be used in Australia but not in NZ. About time Xero made it available here!

    There is no point to a timesheet if it doesn't have start and finish times. Australia have had this feature for over a year. Its hard to understand why it is taking so long to bring this function to NZ clients. I am currently looking at other payroll options due to the lack of this functionality.

    I have been using Xero Payroll but are now changing to a different system. I have been waiting for this to be added but it has taken so long and it is costing me money.

    Yes please will make time sheeting so much easier. We aren't using the app until we get this feature.

    Xero, it's been a year and OZ has this functionality. Stop ignoring NZ customer base, and just add the same features, why do we have to request this sort of functionality...
