UK Payroll - Email payslips before posting pay run.

Allowing the payslips to be emailed before posting to HMRC to check for any errors would be great. We have multiple users involved in the payroll data input and there are usually one or two errors as there are many expenses claims. Being able to do this would make life so much easier for us.

Hi everyone, thanks for your patience as we reviewed this. We understand that being able to verify payroll details before posting is crucial for avoiding errors.

This isn't something we have plans for in the near term, however you can still review employee data by downloading the payroll reports available within draft pay runs.

Not getting a lot of support from other members we’ll soon remove this from Product ideas. If it’s still highly valuable to you, welcome to start it again and see if it gets renewed interest.

    Some of my employees tax is wrong due to resubmitting the RTIs to HMRC when pay has been wrong. HMRC hate resubmissions but there is no way round it. Employees do not want to wait until the next period for the pay to be corrected.
    We really need to be to able send payslips out before sending the final RTI.

    This is my first month using Xero Payroll and I can't believe this is not available. I would imagine this would be a huge issue for larger companies with various elements to their payroll - no-one likes having to re submit to HMRC!

    cant believe draft payslips aren't a standard feature.... causes so many issues with HMRC

    Thanks, Kelly It is a workaround but is fraught with errors as the download has all the payslips and to email each one, you have to select which page its on. It would be a long-winded process.

    Such an easy thing to do and would be so useful

    I have commented on this previously, WE NEED THIS FEATURE.
    Employees have received letters from HMRC today informing them they have underpaid tax.
    This is due to re submissions to HMRC and their system getting confused.
    If we could email payslips out before completing the pay run, the payslips can be checked for errors and no need for re submissions.

    Allow draft payslips to be emailed before submission- This allows queries to be dealt with without the need for re-submisisons.

    It would be great if you could upload draft Payslips to Xero Me so employees can check their Payslips first (mainly for variable commission) before they are finalised and payments made.

    I am having this same problem, having to submit a RTI for someone to check their payslip and complain. Reverting the pay run and re-submitting the RTI which HMRC would prefer you avoided doing.
