UK Payroll - Process payments after employee has left
Please allow payments to be made to an employee after they have left and their P45 has been generated. Sage, for example, allows you to include past employees in a pay run and tick a 'payment after leaving' box which gives the correct 0T tax code and produces the correct FPS submission for HMRC. This is a very basic part of payroll that needs to be included in this system, the option to create a new employee file in order to pay them is not complying with HMRC and is not an acceptable alternative.

This is an essential feature for HMRC compliance.
The current workaround of creating a new employee record is not suitable, particularly where a former employee is entitled to receive multiple performance-related bonus payments over several months after leaving. In these cases, creating a new employment record for each payment is neither practical nor consistent with HMRC's "payment after leaving" requirements.
Please prioritise adding support for post-employment payments with the correct "Payment after leaving" FPS indicator. -

We have only just gone live with Xero Payroll, so have not as yet needed to do a payment after leaving, but this is certainly essential for accurate reporting to HMRC and needs to be added!

This is an essential requirement as per HMRC compliance. The current method does not meet HMRC standards and therefore should be updated as soon as possible.

Xero should prioritise this development for HMRC compliance.

This is critical for legal cases where an employee is awarded payment by the court/settlement agreement after they leave. HMRC requires this feature.

This is more common than you think as people can forget about holiday pay due or additional hours being missed. Think this would really had value for your customers.
