AU Payroll - Ability to customise self onboarding form
It would be very helpful if we can add custom fields on the self-onboarding form to get the information that are specific to an organisation.

Appreciate organisations have different needs and details that they'd collect from employees. It's great to hear you're making use of self onboarding and we'll get a sense of the wider interest for customising this from the community here.
This isn't something we have plans of at present but will share if there are any updates.

Our organisation uploads the employee timesheets from a separate program relevant to our field of work, so it could get very messy if employees start playing with timesheets through xero.
With leave applications, these need to be submitted to the Director of the company only. Again, if employees start submitting through a different channel, this could cause things to get missed.
Unfortunately, I feel we won't be able to utilise xero me without being able to customise what an employee can and can't access.

At very least it would great to be able to customise which fields are optional. We're finding that emergency contact details are not being submitted because you have to click on that optional section to enter those details

Yes and remove some info not required like bank details from Contractors
