  1. It would be ideal to filter analytics (Business Snapshot) by tracking category and show only income/expenses for each Tracking Category on the dashboard e.g by Department/Region/Product etc.

  2. The ability to assign a Purchase order to a project when raising the Purchase order, also the ability to invoice that purchase order as part of invoicing Tasks and Expenses.

    We raise a lot of purchase orders related to Projects that we cannot link to the project until we receive the bill from the supplier. We would like to be able to add the PO straight to the Project and also be able to include it with the invoice even before receiving the supplier bill.

  3. It is possible to see a list of bills not assigned to a project.

    However, I would like to be able to see a list of all transactions not assigned to a project including spend money and receive money.

  4. Currently Unallocated Expenses in Xero projects just show the item line description Which can make assigning to an estimated expense difficult especially when you have "Delivery Charges" I propose a change so that once an expense is allocated to a project and falls into the unassigned it shows the name of the supplier

  7. We run a music festival of 10 concerts. Each concert is set up as a tracking category. It would be great to spread the direct and admin costs across evenly acoss all 10 concerts in a way that doesn't involve entering each invoice across 10 lines.

  8. in Projects, you only have 3 options as tabs, Draft, in progress or closed, it would be great if i could create more tabs. (on proof to customer, waiting on customer artwork, etc)

  9. I want to be able to group/merge multiple expenses being on-billed into one line on an invoice, even if they're not a tracked expense.

    For example, if a contracting company has billed for a fortnight of the contractor's work, but has separated that into two lines, each dealing with one week, on their bill, then the draft that is created when they e-invoice me will have two lines. When I assign these lines to a project and approve the bill, each line shows up as a separate expense to be on-billed. If I am on-billing the full fortnight, I would…

  12. It would be helpful to link our 2 tracking categories together. As it stands, we've got departments within our business as tracking category 1, and divisions as category 2. It would be so helpful if we could put default links in place, as each department links directly to a specific division in the business. That way, when we go to post sales & purchase invoices to the ledger, once a division is added to the tracking category field, the division is automatically populated.

  13. I would really like to be able to allocate my expenses to a project within the app.
    If I add a receipt via the app, (which for me is the most efficient way to add expenses) I then have to go online, find the transaction, edit it and resave it, in order to sign it to a project. This is frustratingly inefficient and doubles the time it takes to input a purchase!
    Could you please add this ability to the app?

  14. Staff members gets pay reviews each year, which means their cost change. But we are unable to get the change to commence from a certain date so reporting for prior year projects won't be accurate. any way we can put a change commencement date so reporting is more accurate?

  15. Pull a report per bank account(s) with transactions indicating to which accounts the transactions were reconciled to

    • Projects; how to group similar projects together when pulling reports

    • Projects; report to see project expenses grouped by similar account allocations

  16. we are currently setting up our company so that all employees use projects to keep track of time entries.
    however, we have given majority of our employees limited access as they don't need to see much, but it means they aren't able to add their expenses on. This isn't ideal for us as our employees do a lot of travelling and need to be able to add their own expenses on to claim their millage back, is this something that could be changed?

  17. You are currently unable to see the projects within the contacts tab against a contact within Xero.
    This would be really helpful as I have some customers that have several projects on the go at one time. This would make it easier to go from one project to another for one client. It would also be a quick reference location. The added quotes, invoices and credit notes added to the contact has been a great step in simplifying contact management - the project listing would complete the loop.

  18. Allocation to Projects

    Can a feature please be added where a recurring bill is allocated to a project on set up? At present this can only be done manually after the recurring transaction has been created. We have over 100 recurring bills per month where we'll have to do this manually month-on-month in perpetuity.

  20. To show the invoice line detail in project reporting rather than a consolidated invoice line.

    You have to allocate each individual line on the invoice to a project but on the project report it consolidates to just one line which doesn't make sense when you put the level of detail at the invoice that it doesn't pull through that detail to the project reporting.
