  1. in Projects, you only have 3 options as tabs, Draft, in progress or closed, it would be great if i could create more tabs. (on proof to customer, waiting on customer artwork, etc)

  2. You are currently unable to see the projects within the contacts tab against a contact within Xero.
    This would be really helpful as I have some customers that have several projects on the go at one time. This would make it easier to go from one project to another for one client. It would also be a quick reference location. The added quotes, invoices and credit notes added to the contact has been a great step in simplifying contact management - the project listing would complete the loop.

  3. It would be great to have the option to select multiple projects at once, e.g. Like there is for transactions. This would provide so much better management of projects. Currently it is is soooo slow to delete projects. Each deletion requires three clicks of the mouse and then the page refreshes. Such basic functionality which would be transformative in managing lots of projects.

    In addition in the API there is no way to bulk delete projects either. Very frustrating!

  4. As an event company, we often receive bills months after the original project is "complete". I wish I could assign costs to "complete" projects the same way that I can assign invoices to "complete" projects.

    Hi Leah, when you've closed/completed a project it is still possible to add Bills and new Expense tasks to it. 

    From the bill you'll be able to look up and assign lines of your Bill, or within the project you can simply add an expense. The only transactions you can no longer add once closed are Billable expenses, Spend monies and time entries. 

    Is there a specific reason you need to enter the expense as one of these type of items? 

  5. We need to know Potential Gross Profit when Quoting ( Obviously ! ).
    Potential Gross Profit = Estimated Charge minus Estimated Cost.

    I understand that Project Details reports and Project Summary reports require Time Spent to be entered or an Invoice to be generated before Gross Profit can be shown.

    But for Quotes we do not wish to generate an Invoice or record Time Spent, because a Quote is not a Project until it is awarded/won and does not require an Invoice until the Project is complete.

    Please can we have the capability to look at Potential Gross Profit equals…

  7. Adding staff working on a project without giving them access to Xero.

    There is absolutely not need for staff to have access to Xero for me to log that they have worked on a project for 8 hours at £xx rate per hour.

    I don't want to add this information to the ledger as the staff are payrolled so I cannot enter this as an expense but I would like to diarise time against the project so profitability can be calculated.

  8. Allocation to Projects

    Can a feature please be added where a recurring bill is allocated to a project on set up? At present this can only be done manually after the recurring transaction has been created. We have over 100 recurring bills per month where we'll have to do this manually month-on-month in perpetuity.

  9. Projects is configured to only allow the reporting currency to be used in setting rates or quotes.
    It would be great to allow the user to select the quote currency.

  11. I would love to group select untracked expenses in Projects then drag and drop them into their expense category

    If the untracked expense could sit in one column and the expense category in another that would be amazing so you can easily reference the category then drop accross from column to column

  12. It would be excellent if employees could add the time used in a project to their timesheet via Xero Me.

    They have the assign project/s showing in their timesheet where they can add the hours used on it.

    For example:
    Monday
    Ordinary hours- Idea court project: 4.5h
    Ordinary hours- Flower street project: 3h

    Tuesday
    Ordinary hours- Idea court project: 7.5h

    Wednesday
    Ordinary hours- Flower street project: 5h
    Ordinary hours- Cloud avenue project 2.5h

    And so on. Then of there is overtime they could add that as same way then the ordinary hours.
    Also when the assigned employee adds the hours…

  13. Projects - I would like to see the references for each invoice in the list of quotes and invoices on projects. It is difficult to tack what you have invoiced when you have to open each individual invoice.

  15. The ability to bulk update staff charge out rates in Project Tasks. Running many projects and therefore many many in progress tasks. Needing to duplicate a task and create a new charge rate is both tedious and cumbersome. Unless you export to excel and manually change data, you are unable to get an accurate snap shot of the financial status of the project as charge out rates are outdated. Currently when exporting invoices, I am needing to individually update staff rates to reflect the current times.

  17. Add an expense date to a project

    When you enter expenses under projects, a date is required. We would like that date to appear on the invoices.

  18. When adding a actual expense within a project it should open a spend money transaction in Xero and have the ability to save photo of the receipt as normal spend money. Or alternative within the XERO app be able to select a project when inputing a receipt, the current setup is double handeling because you purchase somthing and you have to enter it in xero then in the project.

  19. In the last week the ability to add multiple tasks to new employees has been taken away, you can still add all jobs but without the ability to add all tasks or some as well that feature is now useless.

    please can you tell me why this has been removed and bring it back asap. I have staff unable to complete time sheets at the moment.

  20. In project records the ability to select multiple or all expenses entries (by using the existing select tick box) and bulk update 'mark as invoiced' status.
