  1. Xero workpaper functionality that can connect to more than one Xero file to reconcile inter-entity loan accounts, or confirm rental income and expenses, or Div 7A interest and expense, etc.

    Eg: Debit loan in Company A, Credit loan in Trust B - can link both totals to see at a glance the loans match on both debit and credit sides.
    Entity A pays related-party rent to Entity B - link B's income and A's expenses to see at a glance that the amounts are correct on both sides in both files

  2. In Xero Tax when we save the completed tax return for the client as PDF for email, is there an option to hide other sensitive information in addition to the TFN, such as date of birth, address and bank details.

  5. Financial Cents has created the best practice manager I have found and would like to integrate with Xero but is not receiving much cooperation. I and several other Xero users would appreciate the integration.

  6. We currently integrate with a range of practice management software, and have a recurring request from customers using XPM to have us add notes to client records when certain actions are taken.

    Currently, adding or updating notes is not possible via the API, however documents can be managed via the API. Client notes are useful as they allow important communications with a client to be logged against that client for future reference.

  7. It would be good when printing the WIP ledger for unbilled clients to have the option to print each client separately. i dont want to have to individually tick my clients just to get there report on a single page.

  8. When accessing through ipad browser (chrome/safari/edge), if entering time through the dashboard, there is not the function to start typing a job name and the list to match with the name typed. This function is avaialble on desktop. This means users need to scroll through the list to get to client name, then click/tap on it. Requesting the desktop site does not work.

  10. There could be many possible things to be able to track in there, but I would like to be able to:

    Limit the 'states' shown to things I am directly involved with like 'For review' and 'For Invoicing'.

    My secretary would want to see states that apply to her like 'to sign'.

    Only show 'Priority level' High and Urgent (with the flick of a keystroke)

    Possibly allow some of the functionality in the 'jobs' tab or the report builder to be 'saved' in the dashboard screen like mini tables that update real time?

  11. Currently there is no option to create a worksheet behind the trust distribution income at 6E, when completing company tax returns with a trust distribution income (eg from investments). You need to enter the gross distribution at 6E and record attached franking credits separately in the calculation statement at 'Refundable tax offsets'. It creates confusion for some of the junior staff as they can easily put this amount at 7J as franking credits which isn't correct.

  14. I have come across an issue where a client who is GST registered wanted their refund transferred to Provisional Tax. The only 2 options in Xero are GST 101 (GST only) and GST 103 (GST and Provisional Tax). I chose the GST 103 option and the Estimate option under that.
    The return was rejected by the IRD as a GST 103 return is for the Ration option only. I was told the return/option I needed to file is a GST 101A.
    This is not available in Xero
    I have never had the IRD reject this before so I am not…

  15. Xero gave us a tax estimate for deceased estates (but only within the first three years...), and on my very first trial of this new feature ran into a roadblock - I cannot find anywhere to input the PAYG Instalments paid by the deceased estate, therefore the estimate is inaccurate.

    Hi everyone, thanks for your interests in the SA900 through this idea.

    We understand how returns for Trusts would be beneficial in Xero Tax (UK). This isn't in our immediate roadmap, but we're keen to continue tracking the interest for this from community through the idea. If any progress is made we'll share an update for you all here.

  18. My Timesheet Information View
    Highlight/Bold the Client name for each entry.
    Make a hyperlink for.
    When reviewing timesheets is easier to think in terms of the client than the job name.

  19. Sync all data to Xero HQ.

    We have been moved over to single client record and need notes and custom fields to be synced as well please.

    This would prevent the need to manually update client records and prevent risk of out of date data.

    Appreciate the need for succinct records, and we're pleased to share that this'll soon become a thing of the past with Xero Partner Hub - This'll combine your practice tools into one centralised experience. Meaning you have all client details in one place, no more need to update in HQ and Practice Manager 😊

  20. In the Transfers screen, Need a filter option on the Return State column to save having to move from page to page of results to find all the Assessed ones (even after having sorted by that column)
