  1. It would be great if, when viewing a contact, there was a quick 'sign/flag' to show if that contact has an active Direct Debit form.

    Currently you have to go to >Settings >Payment Service >GoCardless >edit >Direct Debit Forms

  2. A number of our clients simply use hubdoc as a filing system as publishing to Xero is not as simple as they would like.
    So we maintain their Hubdoc accounts, we update the document type and archive. It would savea huge amount of time if we could bulk edit and bulk archive rather than having to do this one document at a time.

  3. So we have set up and had a lot of success with email templates in Xero. it would be useful to have the ability to have a default option for each contact (or group of contacts) a specific template for a specific reason eg new invoice or AR. so that everytime we go to email an invoice for example it preloads on a certain template.

    Eg we have a number of clients that only speak read German and/or french so it would be nice to be able to set these contacts to default to use our German and/or French templates…

  5. Making the tax exclusive options in Hubdoc showing in the Edit Document tab.

    Purpose: To avoid publishing the document with the wrong tax type.

  6. Be able to see recurring invoices set up for a client on that client's page. So many times I think to myself "I'm pretty sure I set that up, but did I?" and then I have to go and search in the repeating invoice tab. It would be good to be able to see recurring invoices just on the client page.

  7. Would it be possible to create a contact who is a "sub contact" of an existing contact. For example we perform work for a strata management company. Every invoice is made out to [name of strata company] but the contact details, email address and physical address are all the same - that of the management company. I would love to create [strata management company] as the main contact with all the strata "divisions" they manage below them without having to create a new contact for every single new building. What are my chances?

    Appreciate where you're coming from with this idea, Kirsty. 

    Right now you could create a Contact Group, and have each related contact assigned to that contact group. Get what you're saying with the efficiency when having most of the same details - for now perhaps importing via csv would help create these in less time. 

    We also have an idea for the ability to copy a contact, and another for contact group statements that you might like to join and follow. 

    We'll start to get a feel of the interest for this type of feature here, and I'll let you know if there's any change planned. 

  8. Sort 'customer or supplier' list by account number from the drop down menu, (not the same as the search function).
    The account number field is a unique identifier to any customer or supplier record. Having this function should be a necessity as it is with most other software.
    In many cases the account number field is overlooked in Xero from the users point of view, yet it underpins the whole database for many people and connecting software/apps.

  11. When entering line items in Hubdocs it would be so useful if we could enter the same number of decimal places that are available in Xero. When we split invoices into line items it is very clunky having to make rounding adjustments because we only have 2 decimal places in Hubdocs, yet 4 in Xero.

  12. Users can scan their invoices via mobile app when they don’t have an internet connection.

    Purpose: To make sure that the invoices/documents didn’t get lost in the Hubdoc app when the internet connection is intermittent.

In Xero, under All contacts, would be great if we & please add had more columns or choices to add certain column of attributes of the contact showing if they are in a group, and possibly a last action date of last transaction, so that any can be easily Archived, when they haven't been accessed in a long while.   14. Make a force sync button from Xero to Hubdoc.
    E.g. adding a new account in Xero takes a while for it to eventually show in Hubdoc.
    Unless you have to disable and reactivate the Xero-Hubdoc link

    Why not a button, that just 'force sync' the new chart of accounts into Hubdoc?

  15. 2 decimal places in Hubdoc is not enough. It must match Xero's 4 decimal places.

    I have had to stop recommending Hubdoc to businesses that use item/inventory functions in Xero. Many businesses buy and sell products to the 4th decimal place. When you are dealing with large numbers 2 decimal places are significant. Users have become frustrated with having to do rounding line items and other fixes just to ensure the correct total price/quantity is captured in Xero.

  17. To make users able to see repeating invoice details from Contact record.

  18. Could the 'overview' page of the contact show all the contacts/persons associated with a Contact Account, not just the 'first' one?
    We have 2 or 3 contacts/persons on most of our accounts, it would be nice to be able to see their names/emails on the company overview page, rather than having to click into 'Edit' to find these details.

  19. Need a better user management/access experience in HubDoc. Currently the practice user who set up the Hubdoc account needs to invite all other practice users into the client. Would it be possible to merge the Hubdoc access into the Xero HQ access or replicate the HQ access system in HubDoc.

  20. When emailing receipts to Hubdoc, anything written in the email title or body should stay with the receipt. Currently, Hubdoc turns one email into 2 uploads. One upload is the email. One upload is the receipt. It is nearly impossible to know which email matches which receipt. The result is that important documentation is lost. For example, my clients often email a receipt to Hubdoc for meals and they write who was present at the meal and the business purpose into the email's title or body. Those details are required by the IRS but the current Hubdoc system does not…
