  1. Please can foreign currency be OPTIONAL and turned off?

    Foreign currency has been added our file in error via an invoice from Hubdoc that was uploaded as USD. It has since been corrected to AUD and there are no foreign currency transactions in the ledger.
    BUT - all reports annoyingly come up with all the 'source' columns. We don't want this to accidentally happen again when we are getting invoices from offshore software providers etc.
    We ONLY report in AUD.

  2. As the new invoicing is no longer optional. I believe this issue must be addressed for all customers in the United Kingdom.

    When adding a new contact upon invoice creation, allow us to search for the address via postcode like we used to. This could be achieved by postcode search ABOVE Billing Address, then auto-populate the billing address based on the input post code.

    Note there were many issues with the search results which must also be addressed (See: https://productideas.xero.com/forums/939198-for-small-businesses/suggestions/46289185-contacts-improve-uk-postcode-lookup)

  3. When trying to identify how many new contacts have been added in a certain period it is impossible without pulling months of billing and sorting by client name. Also would be great for marketing to know about Client anniversaries.

    Simply by adding a field for the date added when setting up the record would be ideal, it could then be shown on the exported contacts report.

  4. I would like to be able to check mark the invoices being paid on the contact page where you look at the open invoices instead of going to a separate page to pay bulk invoices.

    Thanks for your feedback on being able to pay invoices and bills directly from the contact page.

    This isn’t something that’s on our current roadmap for invoicing, bills or payments. Right now we’re focused on other improvements in these areas, so there’s no planned work or timeframe we can share for adding a bulk “pay / receive payment” option from the contact view ⭐

    If this changes and the idea moves onto the roadmap, we’ll post an update on the Product Ideas page first so you can follow along:

  5. Should be able to filter by duplicate items so you can quickly go through "duplicates" and then get on with the ones that aren't duplicated

  6. When editing the document in Hubdoc, could the creditor/suppliers bank account number please automatically show in the Xero details area. As then we could confirm that the right Xero creditor has been selected and that the bank account number matches the supplier invoice at that moment.

  7. To be able to 'pin' a note t the top of the client profile to see a note clearly.

    This note will continue to stay at the top of their activity to view easily.

  8. It would be great to look down the list of files in the Xero Files inbox and see a thumbnail image of what the PDF is, so that non-relevant ones or replicas can be deleted in bulk.

    When files are forwarded, often the attachment is loaded to the inbox along with multiple other files which turn out to be logos from the email signature, and it is time-consuming to have to open every file to find out whether it is relevant or not, and delete individually.

  9. There should be a way we can change the email address that the files inbox accepts to make it more tailored to clients?

    For example for a client, their inbox files email could be: xero.inbox.owerthsgm56785.49n6356@xerofiles.com which is crazy!

    It would be so much better if it could be something like xero.inbox.clientname@xerofiles.com

  10. Hubdoc uses a different method of rounding in the "Transaction Details" section compared to the "Destination Section" which causes a "Line item tax amounts do not total to document tax amount' error

    It is due to a calculation error of rounding on the multiple split lines. The two values I have on an invoice are $20 and $3.70 including GST. Therefore 1.818182 and 0.336364 GST, if you sum these up it equals 2.154545. When rounded it equals 2.15 which is what my store receipt says and also what is within the…

  11. Please make it possible to allocate expenses to any bank account while in hubdoc. That way a lot of time is saved when reconciling transactions to the bank account.

  12. Move the Delete button away from preview in files attached to contacts.
    So many times, I have accidently deleted files attached to contacts. The delete button is right next to the preview. There is no way to restore once deleted..

  13. On the contacts page you can see the bills and the value, it will either appear with the value in the paid column or the due column unless it has been allocated against a credit. Any allocated credit notes and the invoices they have been allocated to appear as £0.00 in the paid and due column. Now as we have to allocate the credits in order to include them in a bulk payment (a completely pointless time consuming exercise still not addressed by XERO! but lets not get side tracked by another basic function missing) the fact the values are…

  14. I have 4000 archived contacts that I need to restore. Doing them one by one is ridiculous and will take an eternity. Adding check boxes on the side to select multiple to restore in bulk would be an easy feature to add and benefit greatly.

  15. We use another software programme which exports all our customer details and invoices etc into Xero automatically. The other programme uses Google to create addresses. A lot of the addresses include te reo, so include macrons. When the text is imported into Xero the macrons cause non-recognition of the characters, so we end up with a mess.
    Surely in this modern world, Xero, an Aotearoa, New Zealand, developed programme, can be made to recognise our indigenous (Official) language, and allow correct te reo spellings.

    Hi Karin, would it be possible to get a few more examples of names that you've tried to import and not have show with macrons? 

    One of our team have tested creating a contact via import with the name Whakatāne (/mækrn, me-/) and this created a contact in Xero as shown in this image. 

    It'd be great to better understand and see if we can look into this a bit more. 

  16. Currently when you want to add a contact to a group and you have a entire list of different groups, you can not search for the group you are looking for, you have to scroll through your list. It is very frustrating not being able to search for the group.

  17. Have the ability to set default settings for every new Contact you add to Xero.

    Our default tax will always be Tax Exclusive for example. We should be able to set this as the default to all new contacts added, as well as:

    Default account
    Currency
    Invoice Theme
    Invoices Due Date

  18. We have dozens of parent companies with underlying subsidiaries who place separate orders for separate locations, all under the parent company's credit line/name. These all split into different contacts in Xero when they come in from our order processing system. We need Xero to support hierarchies/parent-child relationships/nested orders, so that all purchases can be aggregated to the parent company, both for tracking overall credit use and for sending consolidated statements that include all purchases from all "children". We work with BigCommerce who has a BundleB2B feature that allows these kind of parent-child hierarchies on the client-facing side, but we can't…

  19. A number of overseas entities, may be registered to charge GST to AU customers, particularly if they are selling digital services into AU. Many of these entities are registered with an ARN (ATO Reference Number), rather than an ABN.

    If registered with an ARN, they can charge GST, however the recipient of the service cannot claim the GST credits.

    For Xero users, it would be great to be able to include the ARN as part of the contact record - ideally in the ABN field, and potentially with a checkbox to indicate that this is an ARN instead of an…

  20. Right now, we see average days we pay or receive payment. It would be good if we can have another row that shows us the payment terms we have with the contact so we can benchmark against performance that way. The data is already in Xero, just need to show it.
