  1. When you go into a customer and click View recent invoices report, currently it shows a list of all their previous invoices, which is clear and easy to read. When you click on the new report version it shows a list of approved sent and paid invoices for all customers, but only for the current month. This is totally useless as you then have to filter it to the customer, and change the date back far enough to show all the invoices. Can you please change this so it is the same as the old report.

  2. Hi Xero,
    could you please add a tick box button TPAR reportable in Supplier Contact - when adding new Supplier to have there option to tick "TPAR reportable"?
    It would really help with ATO reporting when working with high volume of Suppliers/Contractors.
    Atm Xero does not have a tab to differentiate between Supplier providing material only and Supplier/Contractor providing service, labour on which we need to file TPAR every year and within a year we are taking on numerous new contractors.

  6. Be able to set up default coding for the Document Type to always be Receipt, and Document Status to always be Awaiting Payment. This at present isn't possible within Hubdoc.

  7. I would like to do a bulk update of the supplier configurations in HubDoc to set the "Configure rules for Xero" to "off" so that we can begin our configurations from scratch. Doing it maunally for the number of suppliers we have is very time consuming so I would like to request assistance in making a bulk change.

    The automated help agrees it a good idea and suggested the following

  8. HubDoc - Audit Trail

    We desperately need an audit trail for documents in HubDoc. We need to know who viewed a document when, who published when, who archived it and when, etc.

  9. Hubdoc date format recognition is set at a global level, meaning when it processes invoices for US date formats, it can get it very wrong (e.g. 01-09-23 is interpreted as 9th Jan 2023 when it should in fact be 1st Sep 2023).

    This makes automating the process impossible and requires manual checking and adjustment of the date on all US date format documents before submitting to Xero. It can also lead to mistakes and significant additional time to rectify errors when reconciling.

  10. Fault on new contact page - when an invoice is paid using an overpayment is show £0 in the amount paid column! If an invoice is ONLY paid with an overpayment it therefore shows £0 paid £0 due. It should show the full amount paid by any payment method.

    Hi team, in lieu of a direct field for this atm as noted in my last response you could add a Note to the Contact record either as a History and Notes note or within the additional notes field by editing the Contact.

  13. In the files inbox, when I want to rename or delete a file, I cannot do so while looking at the contents of the file. I must close the file and try to find it amongst the dozen or so files sent by a dozen different people, and then rename or delete it. I would like to be able to rename the file while I have it open.

  14. Ability to add "description" column on the individual contacts page. We often need to look through a supplier/customer to quickly see what types of purchases/sales we make, so having descriptions on this page is needed. Currently we have to run a report which is an unnecessary long way around.

  15. Hi Hubdoc Support,

    I’d like to suggest a feature that I believe would benefit many users working with supplier invoices.

    Currently, when capturing invoice details, there’s no option to enter a discount before the total amount is calculated. It would be incredibly useful to have a field above “Total Amount” where we can input a discount value—either as a percentage or fixed amount—and have Hubdoc automatically adjust the total accordingly.

    This would:

    Reflect real-world supplier practices more accurately
    Reduce manual edits and errors
    Improve audit trail clarity
    Streamline publishing to accounting platforms like Xero or Sage

  16. When the transaction is reconciled to a Bill that's been uploaded from HubDoc in Xero, it should mark the document as Paid in HubDoc. (Google's AI-generated answer says that this happens, but it doesn't on my account). That way it would be much easier to see in HubDoc which items still aren't reconciled

    Specifically, if a document is
    1) published as "Purchased, Awaiting Payment", and published to Xero
    2) that bill is then reconciled to a transaction in Xero, so that bill is shown as Paid and linked to Hubdoc

    We understand the workflow you're proposing: when a bill from Hubdoc is reconciled in Xero, its status should automatically sync back and be marked as 'Paid' in Hubdoc.

    We're grateful for your engagement and for letting us know the changes that matter to you.

    We've reviewed your idea for the 'Paid' status to sync from Xero back to Hubdoc, and now it can gain support from other community members. Along with votes, others can now comment to share additional detail about how this two-way sync would improve their experience.

  17. Stop dating in 1900s.
    Today I typed in the date 5/3/25. Click on the little calendar that appears, the month says March 25. Click on 5 March 25.

    Hubdoc interprets this as the year 1925.

    I dont think there are many people entering receipts from 100 years ago.
    Please remove those last century calendars from Hubdoc.

    While you fix that, since the Hubdoc file is linked to a Xero file can you also stop hubdoc processing into a closed year. It warns you AFTER it's been sent to Xero, then doesn't let you correct it because of the status -…

    We have a separate idea around the lock dates that I've just added your vote for across here. We don't have any plans for this but if any are made I'll let you know, there.

  18. have supplier inv reference picked up in hubdoc and posted through to xero so xero can show in supplier reconciliations . so supplier canrecognise our ledger . also avoid hours trying to cross refer supplier invoice reference queries to the associated hubdoc unless obvious by date

  19. I would like to have hubdoc periodically log in to our supplier's account( Fedex, Amazon, Upwork, UPS etc) and fetch the invoices automatically.

    Dext Prepare already does that so I can see Xero loosing thousands of dollars by relying on third party software. I guess let's start with the most popular suppliers and take it from there. This can be an add on to Hubdoc for a bit extra and happy to pay as long as it is comparable in price to other software packages. That would greatly automated our accounts.
