Hubdoc - Extract tax amount from the invoice
Extract tax amount from the invoice. This is required for compliance with VAT amount recorded in accounts must match what is on the invoice
Extracted Amount requires a manual entry of VAT amount. This is misleading as "extracted" suggests the amount has been extracted from the invoice.
20% on expenses option calculates from the NET AMOUNT or backwards from the GROSS AMOUNT, this is incorrect as the may not match VAT amount on invoice specifically where there are non or zero vat amounts

Contacts - Set date to send reminder notification for service dates
Could we add a feature to enable us to email out service and inspection reminders up to 28 days before it is due.
This could be done by date only.
It would save us having to add another app and potentially another running system to get this feature.9 votesAaah gotcha, thanks for the confirmation and additional feedback on the idea here. A bit of an extension from our existing functionality for Contacts and there may be some CRM solutions that you could explore in the Xero app store atm.
For now we'll track the interest in this from community here.

Hubdoc - Warning if supplier bank account in Xero is different
Hubdoc could read bank accounts and a warning pop up if they differ from that in Xero.
9 votesThanks for sharing your idea, Claire.
We'll track the interest for a warning if the supplier bank account in Hubdoc if the this differs to Xero, here.

Hubdoc - Detect Bank statement when publishing to Xero
Currently hubdoc suggests that a document is a Credit Note and to check before proceeding. Can this be the same when a document has Statement written on it. I find that statements are often processed as invoices causing duplicate payments within Xero
9 votesIt's great to hear you find the Credit Note detection useful, and can understand why you'd like to see this for bank statements as well.
We've reviewed your idea and we'll be keeping a close eye on the support this gains in the forums here.
If there is any news to share, we'll update you here.

Hubdoc - Increase upload file size
Currently the file sizes generated in uploading receipts is unnecessary large - I often see 3Mb for a coffee receipt! This is problematic when onward charging expenses to customers (and requires manually resizing before adding to an invpice which is time consuming) and must be costing you a fortune in data storage. Why isn't the file size limited to a sensible size or at least configurable by the user?

Contacts - Add a Title field for Mr, Mrs, Dr, etc.
Please could you add a Title field into the customers name - my invoices show with just the surname on which is very unprofessional.
ie. Mr Smith on the invoice would look much nicer than just Smith !!! This must be a basic thing to do.?? Please consider this as urgent.9 votes -
Contacts - Add 'invoice description' to Supplier & Customer activity feed
I would like to ask if there is a possibility of having on suppliers' and customers' activity bar (please see attached screenshot, what I mean) and one more column - bill/invoice description? I used to work with QuickBooks, and they had this feature, which was very helpful.

Files - Add to new 'Credit Note'
I cannot attach a credit note file to a new credit note directly from Xero Files which is frustrating, it would be really helpful to have this as an option.

Contacts - Switch Contacts without going back to contacts page
Add the ability to click next and previous while viewing a contact.
9 votesThanks for your idea, Joe. To better understand the use case and maybe help others who'd be after the same connect with your idea here - Are there any scenarios or situations you generally find when viewing a contact and wanting to view the very next or last contact in a list?

Hubdoc | Transaction Details - +Add Supplier to hold text that's already been typed (Like adding customer)
It's a small annoyance - but an annoyance all the same.
(mostly I am annoyed with myself for forgetting the two sections are different ;)In the Destinations section of Publish & Proceed - when you start typing in a Contact name if it doesn't yet exist you get the option to add as a new contact - and the beginning of the name you've typed staysa in the box. Then you finish typing it in and hit Create.
But above, in the Transaction Details section when the first letters don't pull up a known supplier, and you hit +Add…

Contacts | Add & archive dates - To get a Customer lifetime value report.
Customer lifetime value report.
I would like to see date fields that you complete when you onboard and archive a new customer. Then it would be easy to work out the average lifetime value of your customers (CLV) using the “income and expenses by contact” or other report.

Contact | List view - View mobile when no phone number
It would be great if in Blue Xero in the Contacts list the "Mobile number" can be displayed when there is no actual phone number, currently you need to open the contact to see the Mobile Number. a bit frustrating.
9 votesWe've just released a recent improvement to searching contacts where you can now search a contact by any phone, direct dial, mobile or fax number saved in their contact record.
While you won't be able to see a contacts mobile number from the screen, you'll be able to search for a contact by a mobile number that's been saved for them.
We don't have further change planned to add more detail to this screen atm but we'll continue to track the support of the idea here.

Sales Invoices - Archive Paid Invoices when contact archived
When you look at the PAID invoices it shows years of invoices and would be nice if you could archive previous years. If a person is no longer affiliated with your company and they had previous invoices they cannot be archived but the person can be archived.

Hubdoc - Mark invoice or bills as paid when document mark as 'Paid' in Hubdoc
You can mark bills and invoices as PAID in Hubdoc; this should transfer over to Xero. Otherwise, what's the point?
9 votesHello everyone, I want to get a better understanding of this idea here. Would you think that this can be achieved by selecting the 'Mark as Paid' checkbox? Because if you’ve ticked the box, the document that you’ve published as draft, will change the into Awaiting payment status in Xero - See our article here for more information.
Looking forward to hearing back from you.

Hubdoc - Ability to see the documents that have been reconciled in Xero
I want to see in Hubdoc which receipts have been reconciled in Xero.
Currently there is no way to know which receipts are reconciled with charges from credit card and which are not, except that I re-publish and get an error of not being able to re-publish because the transactions have been reconciled. For credit card reconciliation, NOT all purchases from vendor will be charged immediately9 votesHi team, thanks for raising your ide with us here. While we appreciate the rationale for wanting the ability to view when a document has been reconciled within Xero, in Hubdoc we want to be open that this isn't something that we have plans for developing into the Hubdoc product any time in the foreseeable future.

Contacts | Files - Change the location of View button
Under Customers Accounts, File Attachments - Move the View button for the attachment to the LEFT side and keep the Delete button on the RIGHT side of the attachment. NOT next to each other.
Multiple times, we have accidentally deleted important files from the customer contact account.
8 votesHi Sherri, thanks for your feedback. I know you started your idea in the Navigation and Homepage forum however this appears to relate to the Contacts page where you attach files to a contacts record.
I've slightly update the title of your idea and moved this across forums. We will start to get a sense of the interest in this from the community here.

Files Inbox - Attach to an existing transaction
From the Files Inbox, there is a way to attach the file to a NEW transaction, but please allow it to be attached to an existing transaction too. This is especially useful when there are lots of files in the Inbox.
8 votesAppreciate why you'd like to be able to attach a file to an existing transaction from the detail you've shared here, Hitesh.
This isn't possible from the Files inbox atm, however as you may already be across - from the flip side you can attach a file from the Files inbox from within the transaction.
Do get this means having to go to the transaction to perform what you're asking and we'll get a sense of the interest in being able to attach to an existing transaction from within the Files inbox, here.

Hubdoc - Keep the highlights for extracted line items.
When converting a pdf to csv, the platform will high-light the extracted lines so that you can see any MISSED lines that you need to manually add to the csv before importing. If you leave that screen, however, and proceed to download your csv, those high-lights disappear and you have no way to get them back. There should be a way to download the high-lighted pdf, get the high-lights back, or at the very least a warning to the user to capture this data now or lose it forever once you proceed to download your csv.

Contact - Font color
If we cannot put a warning against the bad payers, surely it cannot be that hard to be able to change the customers business names into another color (Red) So when you search or create a new invoice, alarm bells will ring and hopefully avoid more loss
8 votesHi Todd, have you seen credit limits? These will allow you to set a limit to how much spending a customer can make with your business. When they reach that limit you can also choose whether to restrict invoicing for that customer. This may help with the scenario you're noting here.
