  3. It would be a really useful to be able to attach files to a bank account within Xero, much as you can to a contact or transaction.

    The use cases for this could be:
    When a disorganised client send bank statements in as attachments for irregular payments it would be very handy to be able to store those attached to the account in Xero; as close to where I would want to use them as possible.

    There are supporting documents that relate to an account as a whole - such as an accruals or prepayment schedule that would be great…

  4. PRIMARY & SECONDARY/OTHER CONTACTS

    Thanks Grace - it would be great rather than editing and reentering information if there was a field titled "Primary Contact" and Secondary Contact for eg where we could just update that field using a drop-down box as opposed to re-entering customer information. It would definitely save a lot of time. Maybe something to add in the future?

  7. Have an "Ask" type of function within the business subscription to securely collect new Customer and new Supplier information when creating a new Contact. Particularly keen to be able to collect Bank Account details securely without needing to risk email communication of same. This feature would also ensure better accuracy of contact details and spelling of names.

  8. I am a relatively new user to Xero but have over 35 years MYOB experience as an Accountant. While I enjoy many of the Xero features there is a fundamental one that is missing and frustrates me endlessly. In MYOB under contacts there is a history tab where you can easily see spend history by month for several years for customers and suppliers. This is such a simple but powerful screen that is completely missing in Xero. Running reports is slow and un-necessary.

    Have you considered offering this simple enhancement to Xero?

  9. Customers are constantly baffled why my phone doesn't recognise their number. It's quite a drag to explain that although their number is in my phone (xero contacts), caller id is not able to access the information. I understand there's some way to sync google contacts with a premium subscription, but surely in 2022 this should be a basic feature.

  10. Since the new contact layout was introduced, you cannot save an attention name without there being an address in the address field. Sometimes we do have a company name, contact name and no address.

    Please review and correct.

  11. Allow upload of Excel (.xls .xlsx) document.
    Many suppliers supply their invoice in an excel format, Before they can be uploaded into Hubdoc they need to be converted to PDf.

  13. It would be great if there was an extra prompt to confirm when deleting attachments from purchases/sales. Currently you only have to press the 'x' and the document is removed and there is no way to undo this if it is pressed accidently. If it prompted you to accept the delete you could say no and avoid this issue.

  14. Please add the ability to enter payment details when posting invoices via Hubdoc.

    At the moment, if an invoice has already been paid (e.g. by cash or a personal card), I have to post it in Hubdoc and then go into Xero to add the payment manually. This is especially common for my café and restaurant clients who pay many invoices in cash, and it creates a lot of extra work.

    Being able to record the payment at the point of upload would save a huge amount of time.

    Hi there! thanks for sharing this great idea. We love hearing what would make a real difference for you.

    We could see that having the ability to record the paid invoice from within Hubdoc would be useful. Now it's over to the community to show their support. To help get the ball rolling, feel free to share the idea with any colleagues who'd find it useful – every vote helps!

  15. We are a small business that has just started using Xero, but already have 400+ contacts. Would love the ability to filter the contact list. For example, filter by country (show me all contacts in the UK, USA, etc.), filter by creation date or updated date (show me all contacts created in the last 30 days), etc.

    There is no way to sort and filter the contacts, just endless scrolling through a long list.

    Functionality feature that may not be critical to business operations, but it would make life a bit easier!

    Hi Brian, appreciate it's not a direct filter option like you're asking here however if you often need to filter by say country or another aspect of your Contact perhaps you may consider creating Contact groups? This way you'd be able to click on the group within contacts when you need.

    Being open we don't have any direct plans for adding more filtering to the Contact list atm, but we'll continue to track your idea here and share if there are any plans made.

  16. Can Hubdoc extract the invoice reference or job reference from an invoice and add that as a job tag. Would be very useful when the invoice is on-chargeable to a project, especially when there are multiple projects/jobs on the go. E.g. building industry type jobs.

  17. Can we have a setting to enable the status section of the Xero destination tab to enable the user to select the status for all documents to be either - draft, awaiting approval or awaiting payment. this save time in having to select this each time a document is uploaded.

  19. We often use the quick search feature in Xero, and it is often used just to get the client code for files. It would be incredibly helpful if the client code populated next to the client name in the quick search bar to make it easier to see

  20. Currently if you are using auto-sync hubdoc will only allow either purchases or credit notes from suppliers, but not both. If auto-sync is set to purchases then credit notes uploaded are posted as bills, and vice-versa.

    Particularly for high volume customers it would be useful if Hubdoc could differentiate between them and post them appropriately on auto-sync.
