I'd like this feature. I have a director who doesn't provide receipts till later. Leaving transactions without a receipt unreconciled distorts the reporting figures, allocating items to incorrect accounts makes incorrect allocations. so having this report would be super helpful to keep the accounts correctly allocated, A useful report to give to the director to find lost receipts, correct GST claims and overall informative reports.

I'd like this feature. It would help a great deal, just got audited and it was a massive job at the end of the year to track back an find missing invoices.

Super important. Can't image it would take much engineering to have this be a normal function.
Would save so much time and needing to track transactions with missing receipts when having multiple staff.

This would be so valuable for us, I have to write/type a list of transactions where I need receipts as I reconcile them as the owners are often on different sites, due to the business needs

I suggest adding a report that allows users to extract all bank transactions, with an attachment status showing whether a receipt or invoice has been attached.

We use Xero’s Files upload feature to upload receipts and invoices in bulk. However, after uploading, there is currently no easy way to identify which transactions are still missing supporting documents.

This report would be especially useful for grant reporting, audits, and compliance, as it would allow users to quickly confirm that every relevant transaction has the required supporting documentation saved in Xero.

Ideally, the report could include the transaction date, payee, amount, description, and attachment status (Yes/No), with the ability to identify or access the attached file.

I have been looking for this exact same function, we need this 100% we have been thinking of moving services as some of the reporting we need would need four link in apps, for example you can kind of get this information by using another reporting function but its also paid, and as a small charity paying for this is a big deal

Fair. Xero requires 3 active customers before an app can list, so the founding cohort is literally what gets it into the store. Until then it's standard read-only OAuth, same as any connected app.

I have a suggestion for a workaround that might fix this. For whatever reason, it must be difficult to add this to the Xero front end that we use. But the data is there on Xero's servers; the Bills screen shows the number of attachments for each bill, for example.

What about the data analysis being carried out on Xero's servers (AI, for once, I'm looking at you) and then a report can be e-mailed out to each user showing the attachment status for each transaction.

It could be a service that people could opt into, and even pay separately for! Would I pay 9.99 to get a report at the end of my financial year to highlight missing paperwork? You bet.

There may be other reports like this that are hard to code into the front end or not high priority that Xero could offer to process on the server, for a fee.

I 100% agree with all of the previous user comments. I am both a user (bookkeeping for my husband's business) and an auditor by profession. As an auditor one of the initial 'tests' I would perform on any client's data is to review expenditure not supported by a valid receipt. As a user, I find it very frustrating to scan through endless lists of transactions. The reporting tool doesn't even offer any such transaction identification/filtering. I am at a loss as to why this is not even on Xero's radar, never mind a critical necessity for business owners.

This is incredibly frustrating for us too. How come this report still doesn't exist? We would use it monthly for our reconciliations. It's very important for us and our clients.

The Xero me Expenses app and receipt scanning is an amazing feature for staff with business credit/debit cards to load their expenditure receipts for approval and audit record keeping.

The problem is that people don't upload receipts straight away and then forget. It would be amazing if the "Submitter" user could see all unreconciled transactions on their account that don't yet have a receipt uploaded against them. Then they could work through these in their own time and save the back-and-forth process of follow-up about which credit card transactions still require a reciept.

This is hugely important for our reconciling and auditing. At the moment I can see if a receipt has been attached when manually reconciling but if a payment is reconciled to a bill, there's no way to see easily that there is an attachment. I have found a work around that will help for now but this would be really helpful.

This is basic 101 for any business no documentation you will fail and audit and we cannot record entries for tax purposes. This is critical for any business fundermentals

Completely agree, it should be possible to un a report of transactions with no receipts attached, can you provide us with an email alert when this feature has been added pls
