Keep the Classic Interface as an Option
The new journal entry interface is a step backwards in usability. In the previous version, I could view multiple journal lines at once because the layout was more compact and allowed the entire journal to be displayed on one page. This made it much easier to review, understand, and track entries.
With the new interface, there is much less visibility, and I find myself constantly scrolling to see related lines. This makes it harder to follow complex journals, increases the risk of errors, and slows down the review process. Similar to the GST report update, the changes appear to prioritise…

Enter journal date using keyboard
In the new manual journal screen, we cannot enter the journal date using a keyboard, and need to select the journal date from the calendar input. This wastes a lot of time if we are backdating the journals to previous years.
Please bring back the ability to enter journal dates using a keyboard. For the time being, I'm reverting back to old input screen.
1 voteHi Quynh, date entry via keyboard and the date entry shortcuts are all available within new manual journals. If you're having any troubles with this I'd recommend raising a case with our Xero Support team through Xero Central who can get more detail to take a closer look into what you're experiencing. Can have the function that able me to do a temporary marking on the Account Transaction page, due to need to compare the related party transaction, this function able me to mark the amount that has been identify, rather than photocopy out as paper.

Reporting - Add report fields
Customising and adding Employee Details Fields so that Employee Details Reports can be produced providing all required information and important information regarding the employee can be kept. For example, licence numbers, certifications etc.

Reports - Option to build Xero blue reports into Xero HQ
Report Building - Ability to choose any report from Xero Blue to add to the reports. Especially payroll reports.
Ideally, I would like to be able to build a set of management reports that include things such as accrued annual leave and long service leave. Annual days to pay on AR, average days to pay per client and other KPI type measurements. Is there away to build out own templates that can go into payroll and other areas of Xero to create these

User roles - Reports access with no payroll (including accounts)
We want to give access to reporting to one of our managers however we don't want them to be able to view all payroll information. Therefore I am looking for a function that can give access to all of Xero except anything to do with payroll so all nominal codes to do with wages would need to be invisible etc. Journals would another thing that needs to be hidden.
