  1. The only thing you seem to improve is reporting, and honestly, I’d bet a lot of people don’t even use those fancy reports because they’re unnecessary.

    What’s missing are the basics. You don’t even have a proper general ledger customer or supplier report with running balances. Your customer and supplier reports simply aren’t designed that way. These are essential reports for accountants and auditors.

    We also can’t do customer or supplier journals, and don’t even get me started on the lack of bulk offsetting of credits.

    Hi Rene, thanks for raising this idea with us. We understand that there are a few things here that you're providing feedback on. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know the things that matter to you the most. Firstly, for your idea about the Contact/supplier report showing a running balance, we've found an idea that is similar to what you're suggesting and have added your vote onto it.In the meantime, we suggest using either the dedicated reports for contacts and suppliers or the Account transactions report. For your idea about the Contacts limitation, I have created another idea on your behalf and added your vote here. We suggest having one development feature entered into one idea to allow the community to vote for the ideas they really want to see.

  2. In the History section it would be good to be what the Transaction ID number is, and any reversals. Take for example the sample data base (Global), Swanston Security bill for 59.54, is currently a payable, transaction ID 549 is the posting of the transaction, transaction ID 550 is the reversal, so the balance due should be 0, however the balance due is still 59.54. There is no ability to search transactions by Vendor, and no ability to show all reversing transactions of an entry, so it difficult to figure out the outstanding posting entry.

    Sorry to hear the troubles you're running into here, Gina. Having tested this out this morning, I can see the file icon is still displayed against transactions on the VAT return.   5. Made payments early on the 1st March. They are showing up as Feb. Amy danger you could like take the actual date of a transaction and not mess with it?

  6. Not an idea, just something I noticed. We had a vendor with a "spend money" and a "receive money" for the same amount. When filing the 1099s, it did not account for the "receive money" and would have overstated the 1099 by $5,300.

  7. For instance, the total for all journal entries is zero, so it would never come up in an amount search result. It would be nice to be able to determine whether a specific issue has already been handled, or if a transaction had been booked if you only know one of the amounts but not the total. This would save a great deal of time.

  8. Reports with custom periods currently have their dates 'shifted' every month, which shouldn't happen, as they do not use relative dates (they should be fixed, at least by default). This is either a bug or bad design.

Usually, if you have a custom report set at a certain date, the date does not move.
