  1. It would be great if there could be an investment boost report that could be printed out to help isolate what assets have had this boost applied so the new IR10 requirement can be easily reported on. Or even if that column could be added to the existing Fixed Asset report to add in.

    IR10 requirement - Businesses must now record the total value of assets they have claimed Investment Boost for in Box 60 ‘Total value of Investment Boost asset(s) being claimed’.

  2. When running reports, for the date range within the drop down, have 'last tax year' and 'this tax year' as options. Similar to the this and last financial year.

    Makes running reports for dividends, trivial benefits, payroll etc, much faster and better flow of information for accountants and clients.

    Should be a simple task for xero and will have a positive impact on all users.

    Hi Everyone, thanks for supporting this idea. It sounds like you're referring to how you can apply a date ranges to reports?

    Most reports in the UK version of Xero already allow you to set a range from the drop down, such as last/this month, last/this quarter, last/this financial year.

    Is there a specific report where you're not seeing this option?

  3. Add Capital Works Worksheet to SMSF Tax – Deductions

    Problem
    In the SMSF tax return, the Capital Works (Division 43) deduction does not include a worksheet. While users can manually enter a total amount, there is no built‑in worksheet to calculate or track the capital works deduction.
    This creates a gap in functionality, as accountants must maintain a separate external worksheet to calculate capital works depreciation and then manually transfer the result into Xero.
    Why this matters
    Capital works deductions are very common and material for SMSFs that hold property. Without an integrated worksheet:

  4. Ability to run detailed transaction and other reports translated to another currency.

    When you are running a multinational business, the ability to convert all data back to 1 currency for reporting is invaluable. Though the entity may trade in one currency, being able to report in another is also important.

    Also, looking at the detailed transactions for analytics is important but difficult when it's in a foreign currency. Having a multicurrency TB for export/import and reconciliations would also be handy.

  5. Can you raise an enhancement request for the P&L report to give 2 options- Includes GST and Excludes GST to give an option to the user(similar to the current option of Cash or Accrual)?
    If a user selects "Includes GST ", a new line item gets added showing the GST account, else default option is "Excludes GST " meaning no change to the current report.

  7. On HMRC ASA there is a list of clients signed up for MTD for IT with references starting 'X*IT'. These references should be available to Xero so it would be good for that reference to show in Xero within the MTD tab

  9. Please can advisers have a more in depth way to search for a particular change. The history & notes filters need an "edited date range" and a filter to search in a particular area e.g. "Bank", "Bills" Invoices"

    e.g. for context:
    Scenario:
    Bank was fully reconciled after a conversion to Xero and remained so up to the end of November 2025 with reconciliation report printed. i.e. at the beginning of December 2025 the November 2025 bank reconciliation fully balanced and matched to the bank statement.

  10. Across all of Xero not just in Manual Journals, but suite-wide, can it be known that speed of data input is critical to productivity. Therefore can someone at Xero esculate the design choices to improve the speed of input of repetative tasks.

    Navigation loops for inputing draft bills, ie loop back to the draft bills screen to enter another one by default, OR a setting in the user profile...

    Manual journals for example, can we have it programmed so that I don't need to click the mouse to select the blank tax field, instead can I just TAB KEY over…

  11. US Tax: don't show tax rate for non-taxable items

    Why is Sales Tax showing as a % for Shipping when shipping is set as not taxable?

    I see there's a pop-up that says it's at 0% tax, but it's very confusing to the customer, showing a tax rate, and have explain that in fact Shipping Is not taxed

  12. New Zealand Inland Revenue Department requires reciepts to be signed by an authorised person. . This does not appear to be possible possible with Xero at present by inserting an electronic or jpeg signature. With a significant number of receipts our charity issues this can only be done manually and a scanned copy sent.

    I would like to suggest a feature enhancement that would greatly benefit users in the Philippines.

    Currently, when generating reports (such as Transaction Reports, General Ledger, or Contact-based reports), there is no option to display the Tax Identification Number (TIN) and registered address of contacts as columns.

    Including TIN and address fields in report columns would significantly improve efficiency and accuracy in preparing BIR compliance reports such as:

    • SLSP (Summary List of Sales and Purchases)
    • QAP ( Quarterly Alphalist of Payees)
    • SAWT (Summary Alphalist of Withholding Taxes)

  15. There are two concerns regarding XERO Blue Report extraction. One is to apply a page break after each ledger when extracting general ledger details while selecting all ledgers. The other is to extract the transaction list by edit period. This will be helpful in identifying differences between the same report taken for two different periods.

  16. There is caital gain in the trust distributed to the company, but it seems not included in company tax return. The company and trust is connect in XERO, all the income is in but not the capital gain, it is in 'Trust income schedule', but not included in company taxable income.

  17. If each report had the option to export the transactions used in the report, with the transactions showing all the data that was input, including tracking categories, the limitations of just about every report available would have a workaround.

    As it wouldn't be a report, but a data dump, it wouldn't need any formatting.

    This capability was just about the only thing that redeemed Sage 200 reporting.

  18. PLEASE DO NOT CLOSE THIS ONE JUST BECAUSE YOU MISUNDERSTAND
    Reports with custom periods currently have their dates 'shifted' every month or quarter (yes, they do, no matter what 'Xero support' say - unless that has been fixed, of course). This shouldn't happen, as they do not use relative dates (they should be fixed, at least by default). This is either a bug or bad design.

  20. Direct Profit and Loss Detail Report with Tax Columns (Match QuickBooks Functionality)

    1. The Feature We Need

    We need a dedicated Profit and Loss Detail report. This should be a single report that shows every transaction, grouped by account, including the Tax Rate and Tax Amount for every line. It should look and work exactly like the "Detail" report in QuickBooks Online.

    1. Why the current "Account Transactions" report is NOT helpful Xero often tells users to use the Account Transactions report as a workaround, but this is not a proper solution for these reasons:
