Keep the Classic Interface as an Option
The new journal entry interface is a step backwards in usability. In the previous version, I could view multiple journal lines at once because the layout was more compact and allowed the entire journal to be displayed on one page. This made it much easier to review, understand, and track entries.
With the new interface, there is much less visibility, and I find myself constantly scrolling to see related lines. This makes it harder to follow complex journals, increases the risk of errors, and slows down the review process. Similar to the GST report update, the changes appear to prioritise…

New Manual Journal Feedback
Two things on new journals. One, I can't enter dates manually I have to use the mouse to select it which slows down data entry. Two, I use both cash & accrual journals. When I clicked into a journal on the old system I could see which type of journal I had entered. now I have to edit the journal to find out. I have reverted back to the old system.

CGT - exemption codes for Trusts
Cuurently, if there was a capital gain in the tax return with an exemption that has been added through a CGT worksheet it is not being shown on the printed version of the return at item 21. And further this exemption code is not being transmitted to the ATO. This needs to be amended as lodging the return without these codes means we are lodging falsy misleading tax returns. If this is happening for companies and super funds this will also need to be fixed for their returns as well.

MTD for IT - Clients to be able to add multiple tax payers in Xero themselves
It's great that, as a Xero Partner, we can add multiple taxpayers to the same Xero licence for Making Tax Digital for Income Tax. This is particularly beneficial for situations such as husband and wife property owners who each hold a 50% share of a property.
However, not all clients choose to have their accountant manage their MTD submissions. For those who prefer to handle their own compliance, it can be frustrating that a second taxpayer cannot currently be added directly by the client within Xero.
Allowing clients to add and manage additional taxpayers themselves would be a valuable enhancement.…

Customer List
Please create a customer list report with options to list the fields in the contact details. The export sucks because one cannot filter it or choose the fields to export.

"Last week" common selection date range
When selecting a date range in reports, please can a "last week" / "this week" common date selection be added?

Corporation Tax - Allow PDF attachments to CT600 submissions
As a practice that recently migrated from IRIS to Xero Tax, I am highly disappointed to find that Xero strictly forces a standard filing block with no capability to attach ad-hoc supporting PDFs. For companies with complex technical information packs (such as detailed claims data), this limitation creates massive compliance hurdles and forces us to rely on external portals. Please introduce a 'Select External PDF' tool for the final CT600 submission stage to match the capabilities of desktop software like IRIS.

Ability to change default setting in tax returns
I've discovered that in the new Xero when you create a tax return for a new client it defaults to agent address and agent trust account for refunds. Given the new AML laws, we do not want our account as the default. Can we either have the ability to change what addresses and bank accounts are set too by default or have them both changed to client?

timestamp
When in the report editor, it would be good to be able to see a timestamp showing when the last save was.
At the moment, you cannot see when the last save was until you exit the report.

Workpapers - Capital Gains Totaled in Tax Schedule
When capital gains are reported via managed funds worksheets, why can these totals not be automatically tallied up in the capital gains tax schedule?

MTD4IT - enable different HMRC ASA account for different offices
Currently the HMRC Agents Services Account is entered for the whole practice including all offices.
Many practices have separate offices with separate HMRC ASA.
