  3. I would love to have the next BAS quarter automatically displayed every time I open the BAS section.
    Mine is stuck on 2019 and needs to be changed every time I go to look at doing my next BAS statement.

    If it could automatically change to the up coming BAS quarter but the option of doing yearly etc as normal. But it would just help so much with budgeting in regards to tax obligations for us single person company people.

  4. We need to be able to edit the start and end dates on an ITR to accommodate clients with a substituted accounting period. For companies and trusts, this is manageable because Xero allows the period start and end dates to be edited to reflect the SAP, but the same functionality doesn't exist for Individuals Tax Returns.

  5. When setting up Xero for a registered Subcontractor it would be really useful if Xero automatically created a revenue code for CIS Materials Income, like it does for CIS Labour Income.
    When setting up a registered Contractor, Xero automatically creates CIS Labour expense and CIS Materials Purchased. But for Subcontractors to invoice CIS Materials Income they have to create their own code. But this is not mentioned in the support articles.
    If Xero cannot add this code to the Subcontractor CIS set up, then can they at least add guidance in their support articles please.

  6. Archiving repeating journals
    We have had a number of repeating journals over the years. We have gotten to the point where when we want to update these journals, we have to trawl through these. It would be nice to archive the ones we don't need any more so we can just see the ones we need.

At the moment, if you reverse a journal with the same date as the original journal, it actually deletes both the original journal and the reversed journal from your manual journal listing in Xero. (You are only likely to do this in error, and it would not be immediately obvious to you as to what you have done). Both journals immediately become invisible and both are thus then uneditable. This should not be the case, there should be an ability to correct your mistakes. The only way to discover your mistake is by the 'Journal report' where you can see…

  8. We need an ability to search by Journal number on the manual jounal feature. This is the only unique identifier for a manual journal, and it should be visible and searchable for users.

  9. When editing a report, please make it easier to add multiple rows or columns at once - either by allowing continuous clicking on the "add row/column" button, or by providing more options beyond a 5 x 5 when creating a table.

  10. When preparing a personal tax return it would be great if there was as option to attach files in each section. So we can attach things like bank interest statement, P60, P11d, dividend vouchers, state pension, personal pension etc.

  11. I have a few cases where clients have setup an ATO connection to lodge their own BASs via Xero, which is great.

    The problem I have is many clients only do monthly IAS (wages tax only), where we as agents do the full quarterly BASs, and prepare them via Xero's tax program XPM.

    I however cannot mark a BAS as 'final' or 'complete', I can only save as draft or lodge it via Xero. I don't want to lodge it via Xero, I want to put it in XPM, so the client gets a copy to review, and sign it…

  12. Bank Reconciliation - With Separate Debit and Credit columns with their totals
    Currently both DR and CR amounts show in one column. Would love to see them in their own columns when reporting.

    Also, a larger description/reference area would be great.

  13. The new Practice Manager update is mostly great, but why do we need to manually enter the full address now when adding client details? The prefill address search was great and I don't understand why it was removed. It's just a hassle

  14. When adding a new client to Practice Manager or HQ and creating a Xero Organisation to link to said client, the basic Organisation details (e.g. ABN, contact details, address details) should automatically pull through to save double entry. This should also work vice versa, when you create the Xero Organisation with all the client's contact details, then create the client in Practice Manager or HQ and link the two, these details should pull through to the corresponding details in PM/HQ

  15. For clients that are sole traders, the ABN or business address is not appearing on tax returns and has to be manually entered. We should be able to generate a tax return with a business schedule that has the business address and ABN already prefilled per the client's details in practice manager and their Xero file

  16. Auto add GST payment/refund to Short-term cashflow report. Currently I have to review the GST return to get the payment/refund figure then add this manually to the cashflow.

  17. Would like to be able to have a column to show where the money was spent (bank statement info) as we find if clients choose a generic name in the Description, eg "Travel" when you are trying to review their coding, you have to click into each transaction to see where the money was spent.
    We have clients that will often use a generic name in the "who" box and we cannot tell where the money was spent when reviewing without going into each one. We have suggested they use where the money was spent in the "who" box, but…

    Hi Aisyah, sorry we've not responded to you here sooner. Could you share more detail to help in interpreting your idea here? Is there a specific report you're running where not all accounts are showing?

    Earlier this year we release an enhancement to be able to show a nil balance in reports - I shared an update on this here. Does this achieve what you're in need of here?

  20. Can we get a regular balance sheet in the Advisor (management) packs?

    For some reason it provides a summarised version, with statutory lines only (eg Fixed Assets, Trade debtors etc) but not the TB account by account.

    "More" even has an "Account codes" option, which doesn't work 😕

    Hi Yaakov, appreciate the feedback however still a bit of confusion of what you're actually after here as you initial screenshot showed the Management reports within Xero blue, whereas you're latest image shows the Report Templates in Xero HQ.

    Is it possible that you're trying to add a Custom report that you've created in a client organisation to a Report Template? If so, we have a similar idea that was raised for this, but I want to be upfront that we don't have any plans for developing this.
