Report - Produce Dividend vouchers in Xero

Dear All,

i have the following suggestion. I think it would make sense to allow the production of a Dividend Voucher in Xero also by in-house accountants, rather than only by an accounting firm that is a Xero partner.

At the moment there aren’t any confirmed plans to bring that specific Dividend Voucher experience into blue Xero. That said, feedback like yours is really valuable for our product teams, so I’ve passed this on as a feature request to help them understand the demand from in‑house company accountants who aren’t connected to a Xero partner.

    other platforms have the ability to calculate dividends as per the attached, something like this would be good and pretty basic in my opinion, surprised it isnt already there

    We pay for the full ultimate package and expect the full functionality of the software. Removing features and only giving them to third party accountancy practices defeats the whole point of us having the software. We have this to avoid using third parties .

    Xero really needs to develop these reports asap. Other software packages already are able to generate a dividend voucher and board minutes for the dividend when a dividend is recorded in their software, be it a journal or a payment from the bank.

    It is unfair practice to charge people for accounting software to manage their own books, but make essential accounting features exclusive to accountant only.

    Yes, if the functionality exists, why should all paying subscribers not be able to use it? One of the reasons we started using Xero was so we didn't need to use an external firm of accountants, we do our own accounts in-house.
