Fixed assets - Feature for auto recording trading of old for new asset

Less: Accumulated Depreciation: 2,235.15
Book Value: 7,330.07
The business purchased new asset (actual value) 25,652.17
Less Trading in Value 6,956.52
Net Book Value 18,695.65
The trading in amount of $6956.52 was used againt the first asset, which had a book value afrer depreciation was 7,330.07.
Advise me how to dispose it off with trading value. This feature is not available in Xero

Hi there 👋, we appreciate you raising the idea with us here. There isn't a direct feature for managing these sort of Fixed Asset situations such as; where an old vehicle is traded for a new one. However, it's possible to process this within Xero using Fixed assets disposal, Bills and potentially Manual journals.
I see you've also been in contact with our Xero Support team for direct help on recording this - As they suggested we'd recommend connecting with your adviser if you're uncertain on how to best record this transaction in your organisation.
We'll begin to get a wider sense of interest of an all in one tool for these Fixed assets scenarios from your post here, however I want to be open that this isn't something we have planned in the short term. Thanks
