  1. We would like to see the credit limits included in the Aged Receivables Details, as well as in the Summary. This way, when we are working with detailed reports, it will be easy to see if a customer has exceeded their limit without having to run a separate report.
    The amount could be placed as an extra column on the total amount of each client in the report.

  2. As someone who is colour blind, I find the Budget Variance Arrows are similar / same colour which makes viewing budget variance at a glance a challenge.

    It would be great to have an option to have lines highlighted a colour if above/below budget instead. Even better if this colour option was customisable.

  3. Ability to create custom formulas in reporting, specifically to be able to (+) some accounts and (-) others. Support referred to this as custom complex formulas, but it is a simple formula. We just need to be able to customize them.

  4. When a custom P&L is created it does not update if there is any change in the chart of accounts. For example, if we move a nominal from the P&L to the BS it will still show in the P&L if the custom report was created before the move. This is a major flaw and when raised with Xero we are told to just re-do the custom reports, some of which take a long time to do.

  5. Name of user in account transaction list - Would it be possible that the username of the person who edited or created a specific transaction be visible when downloading the account transaction? This is to make it easier to track who updated the information.

  6. As a NFP receiving multiple donations from multiple donors, we require summary of donations/purchases made by the donor/client as a single receipt including each donation/payment's invoice number, date paid, individual amount paid, total amount paid. The summary will need to include the NFP's logo, ABN, etc.

    Appreciate you raising this in the community. It's not something we have plans for developing at this stage, we'll track the interest from your idea here and update you if there are any plans made.

    Hi Alison, while there's no direct option to group by Planned date in the Aged Payables Detail report atm, if you change Group to None, once run you can click the Planned Date column header within the report to re-order by this field and it'll group all payable invoices by Planned Date.

  8. When using any report, when drilling down into more detail is great BUT there seems no way of then returning to the original report without re-running it after you have finished reading the drilled down info? Or have I missed something.

    Would be good to get an example of a specific report you're drilling into, Lyn. You should be able to click the back button on your browser to return to the previous page / report you're on.

    Alternatively, right click and opening the drill down figure in another tab may also be useful here 🙂

    Aaah yes I get what you mean, thanks for coming back to clarify for me, Kevin. We'll leave the idea here to gather interest.

    While this isn't something we have plans for atm, I'll update if there is any change around this to share.

  10. We run multiple branches out of one Xero ledger. We find the income and expenses by contact report very handy to track sales data, however it would be much more useful if we were able to filter by tracking catagory (for our instance we track branch locaiton).

  11. Separate the INCOME TAX EXPENSE from the normal operating expenses in the Profit & Loss Statement. for example:
    - Net Profit Before Tax
    - INCOME TAX EXPENSE
    - Net Profit After Tax
    This is the basics of accounting apps.

  12. As a workaround for an issue caused by the obsolete Xero payroll service, Xero support suggested that I use the "edit layout" feature to group 2 accounts in the report. However, Trial Balance does not have an "edit layout" button, so I am stuck displaying 2 accounts that have canceling balances. One of the accounts is the system Accounts Payable account so I am not able to resolve the issue "correctly" with a manual journal entry. Editing the report layout is my only option.

  13. Cash Summary Report to include Primary Person Please.

    Can you get a cash summary report to provide in order 3 items as per below
    Invoice No ... Contact ...Primary person
    I cant seem to find a report for all three .
    We send 170 invoices out client who pay sometimes do not include invoice number and we have to track by firm name or contact which can vary also on bank receipt information.

    e.g.

    I need "Primary person" to help "match" an unidentied payment. so searching for "primary person" identifies the invoice number or the right contact.

  14. It would be good to have a bank feed to account transactions matching report which could show which bank feed entries have been reconciled to which account transactions without having to click into each entry. Something like the attached would be good to enable someone to spot mismatched bank entries

  15. Foreign Currency Gains and Losses - remove opening balance from P&L account 498
    Revaluation of the open positions is calculated from invoice/bill issued date to the report date and it is correct. Not sure where from opening balance are coming and are impacting the P&L balances.

  16. Can we have one more column or filter option containing Bills/ Expenses status like Paid, Awaiting payment, Awaiting approval and Draft to generate every details on project bills/ expenses record in "Project Details Report" or Project features in "Payable Invoice Detail" report.

  17. This report is great, I love it but we need to be able to customize it more. When you try and add columns it gives a message saying that you have to delete the total column first, then you need to manually add a total column which isn't the end of the world, but you can't select the the new total column in and of the formulas, like if I wanted to add the variance column (Which I would love to) but I can't.

  18. We have noticed that for our clients with large transaction volumes (90k+), Xero struggles to generate the GL detail report. Xero often takes 5 minutes+ to generate the report, or in some cases is not able to generate the report for the full fiscal year (either showing a blank screen or popping up an error - "there is no data to display"). Sometimes we have to pull the report piecemeal by account type and then aggregate, in order to present the full GL detail.

    It would be great if Xero could focus on report performance, ensuring that the GL detail…

  19. There should be an arrow on the Date Selection box to load next equal period. If the original period was one month, there should be an arrow to load next month in just one click - and a back arrow. Same for a year selected, or a quarter.

  20. Customising and adding Employee Details Fields so that Employee Details Reports can be produced providing all required information and important information regarding the employee can be kept. For example, licence numbers, certifications etc.
