Inventory - Increase item code character limit
Increase the character limit for product/item codes from 30 to at least 50.
Our suppliers use a minimum of 8 characters, up to 12 characters. We use 4 suppliers regularly, which all use different SKU's; This means we can have 36 characters for standard products, even more if there is a supplier we don't purchase too regularly from or if there are 2+ similar products that get grouped under one item.

I would like to say again how necessary this increase is.
There is a suggested workaround to put the item code in the purchase description, but it does not work when entering bills as it is the ONLY time Xero does not use the product description. When invoicing and searching in the P&S list the description is used, but on bills it only uses the item code and name, which are both limited.
This limit is significantly increasing the time spent entering bills and increases the likelihood of human error. Please work on adding an increase to at least 50 characters for the item code, if not more. There are requests from 2.5 years ago for this limit to be increased. If that cannot be done, fix Xero so it will use the description when entering bills like it does for invoicing.
