Bills - Editable Reference Line after Approval
It would be helpful if the reference line on bills was editable after approval from inside the bill without having to go through "Bill Options-Edit", then "Update" after making changes. You can currently edit a reference line if the bill is still in Drafts, but not once they have been approved without going through these additional steps. My organization has many repeating bills, but we don't always receive the invoices before the bill is created from the repeating template in Xero, so I have to add invoice numbers to each bill by going through the above process. Obviously, I know I could just set them to populate as drafts instead of automatically approving them, but then I can't see what is upcoming for me to pay on my home "Bills-Awaiting Payment" page. Thanks so much for taking the time to share this idea 🙂 — we can see how being able to edit the reference line directly on an approved bill would make this workflow much smoother, especially when you're working with repeating bills and need to update invoice numbers after the bill has already been created.
