Feedback on incorrect answers XERO certification
Hi Xero Team,
A little feedback on the recertification assessment.
I passed initially with 23/25, but there is no indication whatsoever of which questions were answered incorrectly or what the correct answers should have been.
Being slightly stubborn, I retook the assessment to try to identify what I'd got wrong. After several attempts and researching the relevant Xero updates, I eventually reached 24/25 — and I still have absolutely no idea which answer is incorrect! My second attamept landed me a 21/15 as I was over analysing the possible ambiguous questions.
Given the purpose of recertification is presumably to make sure we're up to date with Xero's latest features, it seems counterproductive not to provide feedback on incorrect answers. I've now passed and am certified for another 12 months, while potentially still misunderstanding one of the features being assessed.
Even simply showing the incorrectly answered questions after a successful pass, with a link to the relevant Xero Central article, would make the assessment a much more useful learning tool.
And for those of us with multiple Xero email logins who have to recertify more than once… perhaps JAX could have a quiet word with someone about that too.
Thanks!
Really appreciate your feedback and the steps you took to try and check the answers yourself, Wendy.
I've shared your feedback with our team and will round back to you here soon. 🙂

hello i have also raised the above concern with my account manager. i got 24/25 but no idea what i got wrong which makes the whole process a bit pointless.
I'd also like to bring up that i have been in practice for 40 years and bring a lot of fee paying clients to Xero. I not only find having to sit through update videos with only a few weeks notice, then to have timed multiple choice answers where the answers are so similar, plus the fact i have to sit these exams anyway - all a bit disrespectful and i wonder why you feel they are a positive thing? i genuinely considered changing my clients to FreeAgent - there are quite a few who find Xero frustrating to use so please do feel free to contact me to discuss this. i welcome the chance.
