Hi team, we get how searching across bank accounts would be useful when looking for a specific transaction.
While our product team have reviewed this idea, we don't have any plans for developing this capability in the short term.
That doesn’t mean it’s off the table, and we'll continue to assess the interest from community in this as we keep planning our roadmaps.
If things change we'll gladly share with you all here.
In the meantime, you can use the search in Xero and filter by bank transactions. It’s not a perfect solution, but it can help in some situations.

Hi everyone, thanks for your feedback and support on this idea.
Your detailed comments help us understand the real-world impact of this on your day-to-day work.
This isn't in the pipeline currently, however our product team are very much aware of the idea here and considering this closely as they continue planning so I'll make sure to update if there is any news to share.

Hi everyone, thanks for your feedback here. It’s great to see so much engagement on this idea, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts with us.
We understand you’re looking for the ability to create your own report code structures within Xero that'd allow for more detailed and flexible reporting, helping to automate processes and provide clearer insights for your clients.
As noted by others in the idea, you can currently leverage the existing report code mapping functionality. While it doesn't allow for entirely new report codes, you can map multiple chart of account codes to the same report codes to group them for reporting.
To do this in bulk, you can also export your chart of accounts, apply the mapping in a CSV, and then re-import it.
We see the value in providing more customisation in reporting. Right now we have some more codes…

Hi everyone, right now the only way to edit a cover page in Xero is when you're publishing the report template.
Then you can change the Title, Date and Prepared by options. To further change the cover page, you can export the report template to a PDF file and customise it using a PDF editor. This would also be an option for editing the page numbers
We made some changes in Report styles for our new reports in 2021, though this is only for practice users - They now have the option to choose from four font sizes, and can add a text watermark to exported draft and published reports.
We don't have plans to develop this functionality further in Xero atm, but we'll keep you updated if our plans change.

Hi everyone, thanks for your feedback on this idea. We appreciate you sharing how important accurate leave accruals are for managing payroll when employees work at different rates across various days or departments.
While we aren't able to add this to our roadmap right now, we want to make sure you are aware that it is currently possible to set up leave to accrue on more than one earnings rate.
As mentioned in this thread, the key is to set the Rate Type for these additional items to "Multiple of Employee's Ordinary Earnings Rate".
Please refer to our support article Set up overtime or earnings that accrue leave for a guide on how to do this. We'll keep this thread active for future feedback.

Hi everyone, we appreciate your patience & would like to thank everyone who’s shared their thoughts and supported this idea.
Xero's payroll reports do currently offer some options to adjust columns, filters & layout. However we hear & understand the need for having additional information & more flexibility with payroll reporting, including the ability to customise & save reports for future use.
Being open here, these improvements are not in our current pipeline. However we'll use this feedback to shape how we plan future improvements in Xero Payroll reports.

Hi everyone, thanks for voting and your detailed comments on this idea.
We understand the challenge of having to navigate away from the approval screen to find an employee's leave balance. Providing this information directly within the approval screen could streamline the process and reduce the risk of approving leave that results in a negative balance.
The good news is that our product team's reviewed this idea and recognise the value it would deliver. It's something they’d like to work on in the long term. It's not on the roadmap just yet but we'll update you when we're able to bring more focus to this idea.

Hey everyone! Thanks for your ongoing feedback on this. We appreciate you taking the time to highlight how important it is to get superannuation calculations exactly right, especially with the specific rules around employees under 18.
Our product team has reviewed this idea and agrees this needs to be addressed. The current workaround of manually adjusting each pay run isn't the seamless experience we want to provide, especially for businesses with multiple under-18 employees.
As a result, we're moving this idea to 'Accepted'. While we can't give a specific timeframe for a solution right now, this status means it's on our radar and something we'd like to develop in the future.
We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts with us and for your patience. 🙂

Hey everyone, we thank you for the detailed feedback on improving how leave requests work for part-time employees in Australian payroll.
We understand the value of shifting the task of adjusting hours to employees, freeing up payroll administrators’ time for other priorities and we also appreciate the points raised around accuracy and compliance.
While we don’t have current plans to deliver exactly what’s been suggested here, our product team is continuing to focus on developing working patterns within AU Payroll. Based on what we’ve seen in other regions, this'll likely address many of the needs discussed here.
We’ll move this idea to Not in pipeline for now, but we’ll keep you posted on any updates that could help achieve what’s being asked.

Hi community, we thank you for your feedback on the value of being able to flag a Sales invoice as in dispute. We know a clear way to mark these invoices would be helpful.
Similarly to our update for Supplier invoices there are a few options you may want to consider to currently highlight Sales invoices in this situation;
- Add a note to the invoice to serve as a clear internal reminder of the dispute.
- Utilise tracking categories: Creating a specific tracking category like "Disputed Invoices" can help you filter and report on these items.
- Update the reference to add a notation such as [reference number] - 'In dispute'
While we know these aren't perfect solutions, we hope these may help some in the conversation right now.
We appreciate your enthusiasm for this feature, and we want to be transparent about where it stands, and this is an idea that…

Hi everyone, thanks for showing your interest here. We've been looking into your requests around Document packs, however want to be upfront that right now, editing sent packs is not on the immediate roadmap.
We appreciate you providing more details on the exact scenarios where being able to edit a sent pack would be most helpful. It provides a good picture of the specific problems you're facing, which will help us explore various solutions in the future.
We'll be sure to keep you updated on any progress.

Additional Update
It would be useful to be able to delete / remove sent doc packs which have not been signed, otherwise when cancelled they just stay there and there are multiple cancelled doc packs for one client.
Being able to edit doc packs would be a significant use to our practise, often clients see their returns, financials, documents and want to make changes. This means, we have to redo all the documents including amendments in PDF etc in order to upload the doc pack again. Sometimes this can occur 1-2 times, which means we have loads of unwanted / cancelled doc packs.
Sometimes the client will sign off half the documents in the doc pack, and not the other half. We then have to cancel the doc pack, although it has signed and completed documents in it. This is no good!
To answer your questions:
A. For the first, we'd like to better understand what is driving the need to change the email address? is it down to a typo when entering it? or if its on a tax return, is it wrong on the client record etc?
We are not just adding tax returns to doc packs, we are up to 20 different documents, financials, BAS, TPARs, tax returns for company, trust, multiple individuals, resolutions, other relevant documents and paperwork that the client needs to sign at the same time.
Some doc packs will have multiple email addresses, for different entities, individuals etc. Sometimes clients cannot access the doc pack through the email address we have on file. Often the email address needs to be changed, and this means redoing all the documents from scratch (time consuming for so many documents).B. Although it's not possible to add additional documents to a pack right now, creating and sending a new document pack is essentially the same - Is there any reason this isn't suitable?
By adding additional docs to new doc packs, rather than editing the original doc pack, it creates multiple packs for one client and means the documents are not all together (our end). Sometimes this means we can have 3-4 doc packs, where as we just need 1.
Also where a client has signed some of the documents in the doc pack, but one of the documents needs to be amended and added to a new doc pack. The original doc pack with signed docs either needs to be cancelled or remains as 'sent' status. Either way, it never reaches completed although it has documents which are completed in it.
C. Lastly, it'd be good to get more substance of how the ability to rename a pack would be of use. Are there any instances you've needed this and can share?
This would be useful if there was an error made, or if we are changing the docs included we can change the name on the doc pack to reference it. I.e. ABC Financials 2021 to ABC Financials 2021 and 2022.
Leave no longer accrues on all pay items unless selected 'Multiple of Employee's Ordinary Earnings Rate'.
Leave needs to be available to accrue on all selected pay items.
