Hi everyone, we appreciate the interest surrounding this idea, however we want to be open that we're unable to extend our log-out time past 60 minutes. Xero hold a lot of sensitive information including bank data and we're required to be as secure as online banking.
Any session information running on a web browser can potentially be stolen. If the session does not time out. You then have an infinitely long vulnerability window to session hijacking. Our best option is to keep a tight expiration window on the session cookie, and regenerate them frequently. Even setting a long timeout doesn't help with this - too long a timeout will greatly increase the risk of invasion or potentially jeopardise your personal data and the safety and integrity of the Xero application itself. This is why we maintain control of this.

YES! I really need this feature. It is very frustrating to get logged out continuously and have to log back in - even for the workflow, having to wait 5-10 seconds for it to log back in is annoying, but it's incredibly frustrating when you get logged out in the middle of invoicing.
Very much need to see this feature added. Don't log me out until I CHOOSE to log out!!

Thanks for taking the time to share this suggestion Justine.
I can certainly see how having those specific notes visible right alongside the transaction feed would improve efficiency and make sure key information isn't missed.
While this isn't in our immediate plans to make changes in this area, this idea is open for support from other community members, and we'll keep a close eye on the interest here.
You may also wish to vote on and share your thoughts on some similar ideas regarding how notes are viewed in Contacts:

257 votesHi team, we appreciate all the feedback this idea has received over time. With our reimagined navigation this is something our product teams considered closely, however there is a bit of work involved to achieve what's being asked and we want to be open it's not in the roadmap right now. However, we're keeping a pulse on the feedback here and will be sure to share if there's any progress. Thanks

Thanks everyone for your feedback on the invoice print option. We know how much our customers value efficient workflows, and appreciate you sharing your thoughts on how the current "Print PDF" button works.
For those of you looking for a smoother printing experience, a helpful workaround is to set your browser to automatically open PDFs in your preferred viewer after downloading. This can save you a few clicks in the process.
In the interest of transparency, a direct print PDF functionality that go through the download step isn't in our development plans.
You can continue to vote on this idea so if our position changes in the future we will update you all, here.

560 votesHi community, we appreciate the continued traction this idea's received, and do want to provide clarity and set expectation.
Your feedback has been valuable in understanding the needs of using description only lines to; add subheadings, provide context for grouped charges, and ensure your invoices are easy for your clients to read and understand.
To reconfirm, atm - You can add one-off description only lines as you enter an invoice. However, if you add detail to any other field the line will be treated as a 'financial' line and you'll need to include Qty, Unit price, Account and Tax rate.
- We know some users have set up and saved inventory items for description only lines they commonly use, however as the item code field is used for inventory items the line of the invoice is treated as 'financial' meaning you'll then need to include Qty, Unit price, Account and Tax…

Hi everyone, I'm pleased to share that we're moving forward with the ability to schedule the send of an invoice from Xero.
We're in the early phase of releasing our new invoicing scheduler to customers, and appreciating the direct interest you've all shown here we've included everyone that's voted on this idea in our initial rollout!
You'll see a tool tip on the invoice page for email scheduling, and be able to choose the right date/time when you go to email an invoice (from the send email dropdown). 😊
We're really keen to hear your feedback.
We appreciate there are asks within this idea for being able to schedule the send of other document type such as payslips and want to be upfront that this isn't in the roadmap at present. However, once our invoice scheduler is out to all, we'll be monitoring it's use closely and consider how this…

YES! I need this! I don't have any recurring invoices that are exactly the same, so I can't use that feature. But I have about 30 invoices that I need to send on the last day of the month. I would love to be able to create these invoices ahead of time and schedule them to send on the last day, instead of having to work on a Saturday or whatever it ends up being.

The search function on xero is not very intelligent.
If I have a customer saved as "Wife and Husband LastName", but I search for "Wife LastName", nothing will show up, because it doesn't have EXACTLY the same characters as what the customer was entered as.
If I have a customer saved as A&G but I type in A & G (with spaces around the ampersand), nothing will show up because it's not entered EXACTLY the same.
I use a language learning website where you can enter in 3 letters in the middle of the title of the video you're looking for, and the video you wanted will show up. Example: searching for "Nor" will pull up a video called "My Trip To Norway".
On Xero I would have had to remember exactly what the video was called to find it, instead of just remembering that it had something to do with Norway.
So I know it's possible to build useful search functions.
I have thousands of customers and can't remember exactly how I entered them. I often have to search for someone two or three times, or look up their address or phone number in a separate spreadsheet and search for them that way instead. It's a time waster and it's frustrating.
