Thanks for sharing this suggestion — we can see how adding “as at time of publish” to the DATE / PERIOD would make it much easier to tell which published spreadsheet is the most up to date when reports look otherwise identical.

Hi team we appreciate the feedback and interest in adding the Tracking Summary report to Report Templates here. Being upfront this isn't something we have plans for.
However, we've made a recent update to enable you to adding a custom Tracking Summary report to Adviser packs which may meet some of the needs here.
I see there's also been mentions in this thread of users that'd like to add payroll report to report templates and I wanted to highlight this idea that I'd recommend adding your vote for if of interest. Thanks!

Hi everyone, thanks for sharing this idea. We understand that having more context around Tracking Categories could help teams apply them consistently, especially when managing more complex reporting setups.
The suggestion is to add a description or notes field to Tracking Categories, giving teams a place to record how each category should be used.
For now, some teams use internal guides or shared documents to keep these details available. We’ll continue tracking this idea here, where other users can add their feedback and examples to help shape future improvements.

I am so surprised that one of the most commonly used accounting software packages doesn't have this capability.
I think it is most helpful for the accruals and prepayments account codes, but it would make every account tidier and easier to read. Any account with a reversal and correction would benefit from it. I can't be the only person who makes mistakes!
I would add, though, that it would be helpful to be able to do partial matches. For instance, the prepayments journal credit would need to be matched against multiple partial credits.
