Hi Kevin, not exactly the level to which you're asking here, however rather than Standard access it sounds like Sales and purchases would allow a little more restriction while still providing access to the areas needed.
With the Sales and purchases role a user will be able to enter sales or purchase transactions, and you can also select to give them access to Purchase reports specifically.
With this role a user won't be able to access the Chart of Accounts, however within transactions they would be able to select the account and view accounts in the chart of accounts.
We don't have plans for this specific level of access right now, however we're continuing to evolve our permissions across Xero and will keep an eye on the interest this builds here.

Hi everyone, thanks for sharing your feedback on this idea. We appreciate you explaining how important more flexible user permissions are for your businesses. We understand having granular control over who can create, submit, and approve quotes and purchase orders could help many of you implement better internal controls and protect sensitive financial information.
This idea is now moving to In Discovery, which means our product team are reviewing the viability of the idea as part of wider development of the permissions/user role functionality in Xero. We'll keep you updated here as we learn more.

Hi team, this idea has been created from feedback on this larger thread.
We're keen to get a better understanding of the interest in being able to add supplier details when creating a new contact during bill entry.
This isn't something we have plans for the time being but will keep a close eye on the support this idea receives here. Thanks

Thanks for taking the time to share this idea. 😊 and for letting us know being able to identify suppliers paid by direct debit or credit card, and separate their bills awaiting payment, could make payment runs easier. We’ll open the idea up for the community to add votes and comments. We’ll keep a pulse on the interest it receives and share any updates here.

The problem with the Sales & Purchases role is that it also grants permission for the user to approve the purchase order or bill! I want to allow the user to create a Purchase order or bill but NOT approve it!
Surely the option to allow a user to create an entry but not approve it is very common across businesses.
