  1. The repsonse to my support case was to be told to post the bug here... seems a weird request, but sure...

    The santander batch file does not follow the santander format. In the past Santander used to accept the file anyway but they have now started rejecting it.

    Hi everyone, appreciate the feedback of the layout of detail in the Billable expenses modal of new invoicing. I've made sure to share your feedback here with the team.

    To confirm, right now the date column is still included in this view however if you have a few billable expenses to assign you'll need to scroll down and then will see a horizontal scroll bar so you can scroll across to the date. Understand this isn't the most obvious atm, and I'll keep you updated here of any planned change.

  4. What happend -
    I imported invoices with an invalid account number. When I went to review the imported invoices in draft, the new invoicing AI technology selected suggested account codes for me, almost to fast for me to notice the account code was blank

    Why this is important -
    The "review draft invoices after import" step is critical in getting it right - I should be able to review exactly what I imported to see where the mistakes are. I can see this being an issue with integrations where invoices are imported via the API

  5. You can only allocate payment on accounts to a customer ledger on Xero by clicking 'Overpayment' which is very long winded. Please can this be simplified to select the customer and then allocate straight as a 'payment on account' and then this can be allocated to the invoice once this is uploaded.

    In addition, if there is money out that gets contra'd against money received from a client, there is no way of coding this to the customer ledger.

  6. I've been using your Bill.com integration for the last couple of weeks and I already had to reach out to Xero support twice to make a simple change in Bill.com settings. This requires the user (me) to open a case in Xero which subsequently has Xero support open a case in Bill.com (and then Xero support going back and forth between Bill.com and the user).

    There should be either:

    1. a settings page within Xero for all the Bill.com settings and variables or,

    2. Ability to have credentials on Bill.com to update the Bill.com settings.

    Hi Gemma, while appreciate your idea and how you'd like to synchronize data between Saturation.io and Xero as we have an open API we generally don't build integrations with other applications ourselves.

    We have our Xero developer centre where interested parties can get information on integrating with Xero. Welcome to share this with Saturation.io to see if it's something they'd look to develop themselves.

  8. Currently it is possible to change the branding applied to invoices even after they are paid. It is not possible to do the same for a credit note which means that if there is a change in corporate branding that any credit notes that have been posted need to be recreated to be able to make the change. This should not be so difficult.

  9. New Invoicing Autosave function - Does not work in Edit Mode

    When you create a new invoice the autosave function is there.
    However, if you approve an invoice and then try to edit it, then the autosave is not there and you must manually click update.
    Can you please make this feature more consistent. Either everything is autosave or not autosave. Having some aspects will create confusion and lost data

    Hi all, we appreciate the interest and hearing how you find autosave a useful feature when invoicing. At this stage, we don’t have any plans to roll out autosave to the editing of an invoice once it’s been approved. 

    We’ve made some recent improvements to autosave within the draft state of an invoice that we wanted to share with you - Our product team has optimised how invoices autosave to help reduce the lag, meaning invoices load and save faster. Thanks again for your feedback.

  11. Hi Xero Team,

    I’d love to suggest a feature that would really improve efficiency when invoicing clients with recurring or frequent billing.

    In QuickBooks, when selecting a contact on an invoice, it would show a quick reference of that client’s last 5 invoice amounts. This helped a lot with ensuring consistency in recurring invoices, especially when amounts vary slightly month-to-month.

    In Xero, the “Add Last Item” toggle doesn’t quite solve this, since many clients have more than one invoice per month — so it may not reflect the most relevant or recent invoice for the context.

    It would be amazing…

  12. Despite several separate requests on this forum, New Invoicing's email still begins with an invoice summary, unlike Classic Invoicing.

    For us, relationship and communication are more important than asking for payment so Classic Invoicing's email is perfectly set up with our message first and the invoice following.

    New Invoicing's email reverses this with the money part writ large at the top.

    Andrew Chadwick described it better than I can in the post linked below. The idea has been marked as Delivered but, respectfully, it hasn't been. His and my points still stand.

  13. Xero to xero network - send purchase orders. Want to be able to send my regular supplier a Xero Purchase order via Xero network, who can then create a bill in their Xero, who can then send me their Invoice via Xero network. Would be super helpful given the start of the workflow is typically the purchase order.

    Thanks for your idea, Paul. Great to hear you find using the Xero network helpful in your workflow.

    We'll gauge the interest from the community in expanding the use of the network to send purchase orders. This isn't something we have plans for at this stage but we'll let you know if there are any updates.

  14. Please add option in Xero Payment Services to pass Zip transaction fees to customer on top of my invoice amount. At least most of the invoice amount will be paid to me.

    Like Stripe card payment service, pop-up could prompt payee to accept the fee on top of invoice amount. The 5-8% zip fee is too high to absorb for my sole trader businesses.

    In Xero > Settings > Payment Services - the Zip payment service could have some settings just like Stripe card payments has to choose that option of including fees in the amount or adding the zip…

  15. When you go to add a bill it does not give option to upload.

    Can shortcut keys not go on top to show add new bill upload new bill? it would be much handier

  16. The "Review and pay" banner misleads recipients into thinking they can make electronic payments, but we're not using e-invoicing and have it turned off. Another major issue is that it causes significant delays in loading or, in some cases, renders the invoice completely inaccessible. The banner in the new invoicing should be named "Review" rather than "Review and pay" or be editable to suit different needs.

For volume based businesses, we lose money (30c per transaction) on the stripe fee we pay vs what we can pass onto the customer (because there's no option currently to just pass on the full fee, just a %). That % can't legally be higher than what we are charged, and we can't add the 30c fee to the % anywhere in settings. When we're processing 1,000 transactions per month, we lose $300 to fees. For a small business, this isn't justifiable. Most small businesses that have high volumes are low cost, so they rely on volume of sales to…

I am suggesting to IT team if they unlock drag and drop copy cell from above cell from mouse that feature would be very appreciated and may help to all user to easy invoicing and bill that help to time saving while enter multiple similar details in invoice or bill. I have also mentioned how to prevent accidental drag & drop cell with using ON/OFF button…
