    When I quickly want to take a photo of a receipt using mobile, I have to go through several clicks from the Dashboard: Purchases | Files Inbox | Take Photo. Which is frustrating. Can't you put a button on the dashboard [Take photo]?

I'm invoicing for June, and I'm clicking "add last items" so that I can copy and paste the descriptions, and it added the items from the last paid invoice and not the last invoice - I know because the last invoice had line items for May, and it added the line items from April. The May invoice for the client I'm invoicing is still open but the April one is paid and closed.

    I just want the thing to do what it says on the box.

  3. Bill pdf – to have a print function to print a Payment Voucher for Bill created via a template which user can customize and must contain bank payment details
    of supplier which is input in the Notes under supplier contact (see 1a above). This is to allow us to send the payment voucher manually to boss for boss to do the manual payment to supplier.

  4. When exporting reports to Excel they are coming in with very narrow row heights. By Default Excel will create a row height 4 points larger than the font. Eg: default font is 11 points and row height is 15 points. If I increase the point size, the row height increases.

    My exported reports have the general data at 9 points but the row height is at 11 points - and I'm constantly having to modify my spreadsheets.

  5. When adding bills with mixed GST/GST-free items to an invoice as a single line, please preserve the tax attributions (proportions) of the items in the billable expense.

    Example: If I want to invoice a billable expense to a client from a purchase made at Coles Supermarket, the expense will contain some items that attract GST and others that do not.

    These are correctly recorded in the bill (spend money transaction), but when this bill is added to an invoice as a single line, the GST/GST-free portions of the bill are lost. (And tax is applied to the total…

  6. This idea has been raised again and again but XERO isn't listening!!!

    The demo company is a great idea, but it makes no sense to automatically reload all the "duff" data every 30 days.

    It's VERY simple to achieve a very useful and flexible feature, by....
    1) Be able to clear all the data in the Demo Company
    2) Make the 30 day reload of useless data optional
    3) Enable cloning of an existing organisation

  7. Xero advertises 24/7 support. My idea is that this representation is amended to reflect what support is actually offered.

    Xero state that you can "Contact Xero for free and unlimited 24/7 customer support". To most people, the meaning of this representation is that you can communicate in real time with someone from Xero who can help. This is not the case.

    The advertising claim should reflect that, while you can request support at any time, you will only get that support when Xero staff have the time to provide it, based on their triage system.

    We appreciate you sharing your suggestion! This idea is now classified as Gaining Support. Introducing a direct feed for Country Bank (US) would simplify transaction imports and speed up reconciliation processes.

    In the meantime, you can always manually import the statement lines for Country Bank (US) into Xero,.

  11. As someone who is colour blind, I find the Budget Variance Arrows are similar / same colour which makes viewing budget variance at a glance a challenge.

    It would be great to have an option to have lines highlighted a colour if above/below budget instead. Even better if this colour option was customisable.

  12. It would be great if there was an option (tick the box) to copy last week's wages for the current week for payroll. I have casual staff who sometimes have the same hours as the previous week's so not having to replicate this would be great and the quickest way would be to have a tick the box which can copy it across to the current payroll

  13. In service industries like hospitality salaried employees will work a different set of shifts each week across 7 days. Currently I have to set up a working pattern and if they phone in sick on a Saturday for example if that day isnt set as their working day (i.e we set them up as Mon-Fri for ease) we have to record the sick day on the Monday to ensure it is deducted. But in these industries the working days are different each week and they dont work on a set pattern. Need the ability to set that the employee works…

  14. I would like the GST AUDIT REPORT to be permanently updated, so that the transaction SOURCE FIELD would be included in the report. Otherwise the report should be customisable to include this and many other fields / options, so any of us professionals and internal accountants can extract what we need to review client / business BAS data easier, and lodge the BAS's quicker.   15. The sum and subtract function in invoices is a great feature; it would be great to use it in expenses as well. I often have to itemise a gross expense total into separate items with different VAT treatments. It would be useful to subtract the itemised line amount from the gross total directly in Xero rather than using a calculator.

    Appreciate customers use Xero in different ways, Meradene. Want to be open that we don't have any plans to remove this option, but we'll begin to get a sense of the interest of this from the idea here.

  17. For setting dates on new invoicing:
    - when using the "copy to draft invoice" function, keep original date from copied invoice and not default to current date.
    - be able to type date using all numbers and not having to type month name (slows me down)

    Hi Rebecca, I've just amended the title of your idea for your first request. In terms of the second when you're mentioning the input of dates. You should find you can currently enter dates in number format, however you'll need to make sure you keep the '/' or '.' to separate day month and year, alternatively you may find shortcuts help you cut down the time needed to enter your dates here.

  18. LSL liability calculations are currently handled externally to Xero.

    It would be nice to have a system which could automatically track LSL on staff, similar to asset depreciation.

  19. It would be great if the employee group was included in the payroll reports. The company I am working for requires the employee ID (or employee group) to be displayed in the reports along side the name of the employee. Or if Xero could create a new field that has the employee ID number so that it is displayed in all payroll reports.

  20. Can we please have the ability to add effective start and end dates against pay items. For example, a deduction may only be for 10 weeks at a set amount. Rather than having to setup multiple notes offline to remind us of this, can't we have this function setup in the payroll system so it only deducts the amount over the set period specified?
