CIS deduction after retention - subcontractor invoices
When creating subcontractor bills and deducting retention, the CIS includes the retention when calculating the deduction
For example, XERO should read:
£250.00
minus 3% retention (£7.50)
£242.50
minus CIS (£48.50)
= £194.00HOWEVER, XERO calculates:
£250.00
minus 3% retention (£7.50)
minus CIS (£50.00) (off the gross amount not the amount after retention deducted)
= £200.00This means that CIS deduction is incorrect.
There is no way around this currently even though similar issues have been raised since 2019 on Xero discussion threads and no solution has been made.

Bank Reconciliation - Export option to enter reconciliation details offline and re-import
Xero should provide a way to export the reconciliation list do it offline in excel and them import it back.
Reason for that is, for people like me that spend long hours in flights (more than 60 hours a month) or people that for some reason will be in an offline environment, can use that time to work on the reconciliation part.

Bank Reconciliation - Automatic reconciliation of invoices
Auto-reconciliation for transactions and invoices/bills - I appreciate that the manual reconciliation is to allow for oversight and management of transactions, but when you have several thousand transactions in a month, reconciling them all is very tedious, especially when 99% of them is just clicking "OK" after checking that the names/references match!
Auto-reconciliation would be an amazing timesaver, even if it was just for transactions where the references or customer names onn payment and invoice/bill match. Please consider adding this!

Rename bank reconciliation to transactions allocated
The blue reconciled button togeher with the green tick suggests that all is correct. Yet, this amount has no process of being checked against the bank statement or actual bank balance (noting here that issues can arise from time to time with datafeeds). All that has happened is that all transactions within the Xero system have been allocated/matched.
Could the term currenlty used as 'Reconciled', be relabelled to 'Allocated'?
Could the words around 'check the bank statement' be moved/highlighted/enlarged, so that it is clear that merely allocating all transactions does not mean the bank account is reconciled?

Purchases Overview - ALL Unpaid
Make it easier to just see a list of all unpaid bills by having a selection option rather than having to search All and filter by paid date

Reports | Favourites Section - Undo option
Hi! I like the option to 'bookmark' frequently used reports using the star icon. However, I often click on the star of a report in my Favourites section by mistake, which immediately removes it from that section. It would be great to have a 'undo' option pop up, so you don't have to manually search for the report and add it back in again.

Sales invoices - Ability to move fields of the invoice entry screen
We are a plant hire business and have recently started using Xero Projects to measure profitability by project/vehicle. We raise a significant number of sales invoices every day. This can only be done manually so as to match Purchase Order to Delivery Note and other relevant backing documentation.
The project allocation selection is the final entry item, which doesn't run with the order the backing information is reviewed. It would be a great timesaver if the input boxes on the sales invoice creation screen could be moved around.
The above update would enhance our efficiency.

Ability to add a summary of fixed assets to an existing report
Currently fixed asset reports have to be run separately and there is no ability to add these into an existing report like the notes to the financial statements. It is reasonably standard to include a table in the notes that summarises cost, depreciation charged, accumulated depreciation and net book value for both the current year and the year prior.
Requesting the functionality to pull this data from Xero into a report, rather than either having to run two separate fixed assets reports (one for each year) or a manual table where figures are typed in and manually added.

Reports - Fix report header formatting for reports longer than 1 page
When a report runs over a single page, the header formatting does not pull through to pages 2 forward. It pulls through the report name in small writing at the top of the page and leaves a large spacing at the top of page, as the attached screenshot shows.
This product idea is to fix this bug so that either the report name header formatting pulls through to all pages within the report (preferable), or at least the empty space is removed.

Reporting - Print the Short term cash forecast as a report
Enhancing short term cash forecast within Xero Analytics. This is the germ of a great feature but would be greatly enhanced by the following (in order of importance) : 1) ability to print out in report form, 2) ability to save changes to predictions i.e. you when you change to expected payment date for an overdue invoice or bill it does not seem to save it, so you lose the changes you have made, 3) if it could have the option interact with budget numbers to produce projected receipts/payments.

Account transaction report - Remove 'overall total of all accounts' when run for a single account
New Account transaction report - remove the totals when generating the report for a single account.
The new report adds a report total at the end of the selected accounts which is a total of the debit or credit transactions for 'all' accounts selected.
When only one account is selected it still shows a total - this is in addition to the total for the transactions on the account itself so it shows total of transactions, closing balance and then total of transactions of all accounts selected. Debit Notes - Add a feature for Debit Notes issued by the supplier
To request with Xero to add in Debit Note feature, which it is issued by buyer/ purchaser to the seller where under this circumstance a debit note is given by the buyer/purchaser to the seller to reduce the total value of the bills/invoices.
Currently, only supplier can issue credit note, but as buyer in Xero can't really generate debit note if encounter return of stock/reduce total value of purchase invoices & etc

Accumulated depreciation added to new assets.
When a revalued asset is created (e.g. roads in a local government authority), it is essential that a revalued accumulated depreciation is also able to be added at the same time. This is a basic accounting requirement for councils when they revalue their various infrastructure assets.

receipt transaction
I have a Monzo business account that's reconciled with Xero. When I upload the receipts to Monzo they don't come over into Xero. Are you planning to add this as a feature? If not with Monzo do you offer this with any other accounts like Pleo? It would be good to attach the receipts in Monzo as they happen as they show in Monzo straight away.

No Capital Gain from Fixed Asset Disposal
Right now it's not possible to remove the Capital Gain line from the disposal journal when the sales price is more than the original purchase price.
This means, that if you have a motor vehicle that you sold for higher than it's purchase price, the Fixed Asset register will not let you dispose of this asset without recording a capital gain - even though motor vehicles have no capital gains tax on them.
This issue needs to be fixed.
