  1. Consolidated invoices:
Have a proper feature that allows us to consolidate customer invoices rather than the "copy to" or "merge" as this does not tack the consolidation.
So the example us Customer A has 15 invoices you bill on 20th of each month but want to consolidate all 15 into 1 invoice to send them with all line items (not statements). Then the 15 invoices consolidated would be zero'd or closed off with a note saying the old invoice reference and where they were consolidated to into the new single invoice.

Statements won't work, with the copy or merge you…

Hi Keith, thanks for sharing this idea. We understand the consolidated invoice feature is an area of interest for our customers. The scenario you've described, combining multiple invoices into one with proper tracking, provides really helpful context. Your idea has now moved to Gaining Support, which means it's open for the community to show their support through votes and comments. Thanks for contributing to making Xero better ✨.

  2. Invoice Settings - need to be able to add account number to Quotes. This feature is available for invoices but not for quotes. We currently have to copy and paste the account number from the clients contact details.

  3. When 'Adding details' or editing a transaction, the running total amount needs to equal the original transaction amount (money receive or spent). Some businesses require entering multiple line item entries in order to balance a deposit or withdraw. XERO states the total amount entered at the bottom, but does not state the 'Mathematical Difference' between the original transaction amount & the running total. In order to determine this, a manual calculator is needed. XERO should state the running total as well as the running difference.

  4. Being able to schedule the DD dates on a single bill such as insurance, business rates, leases etc... so that when you run a bills to pay you can get a clear snapshot of what is due for the period rather than having to manually work it out - this would assist in not missing outgoings for the period.

  5. With the rollout of the NDIA’s new PACE system, NDIS participant plans now include funding periods (e.g. monthly or quarterly). Providers and plan managers must track and claim within these timeframes, but Xero currently doesn’t support this.

Adding a Funding Period Tracking feature would let users:

Set funding period start/end dates per participant or support category

Track and report spend per period

Receive alerts for overspend or expiring funds

Validate invoices against active funding periods

This would help thousands of NDIS providers maintain compliance, reduce manual tracking, and strengthen Xero’s value in the disability sector.

  6. After years of using Xero and the majority of our invoices each month being repeat ones, I am increasingly frustrated with the lack of the most basic features for repeating invoices.

Combined, there are thousands of upvotes for the most basic features, most of which have been submitted years ago. And seem to go totally ignored by the Xero team.

I've listed just a few of these incredibly basic features below:

    • Reporting - Report that shows Repeating Invoices
    • Repeating invoices: Ability to copy them to create new ones
    • Repeating Invoices - Generate invoice before invoice date
    • Repeating Invoices - Day/Date…

Sorry to hear your frustration here, Bee. I want to assure you that our product teams pay close attention to the ideas shared by our customers in product ideas here and regularly review to incorporate customer driven changes into our development.

In order for others in community to understand what they're adding their vote for and so we can communicate clearly on changes it is best that each idea is kept separate, and I will move your post here to Not Planned.

It's good to hear you've found one's you're interested in, and if there are any planned changes for these we will share a public status update to share news with everyone following that idea.

  7. Xero Expense claims do not provide the field "Item" when submitting an expense claim for small items of inventory purchased infrequently. This means the inventory items purchased via expense claims will not show up on the reports "Inventory Item Details" and "Inventory Item Summary" reports" and a separate reconciliation just on expense claims will need to be run in order to account for the true inventory balance.

Hi Camilla, thanks for your engagement on this idea regarding an item field in expense claims. We know that it's not possible to add an inventory item directly to an expense claim and the current process to track inventory for an expense is to raise a bill instead. 📊 The team is still looking at the best way to address your feedback, and while we can't promise a timeframe just yet, please know that we will be watching this to see how much interest it might generate 👀

Hi all, we appreciate this feedback raised through a broader idea and would like to better understand the direct interest in this through this idea.

While not in our roadmap atm, this is something we understand the needs in and will keep you updated if there is news to share, here.

  10. The "GST on expenses" and "no GST" sections of the GST report have contradicting signage - e.g.: expenses are a positive when there is GST but a negative when its under the "no GST" section. Can we keep it consistent in the report as its confusing to read/review.

Thanks for sharing your feedback on the GST report formatting and how the current approach can cause confusion when reviewing the transactions.

  11. Please could you add a 'Back to the top' button, especially on the reconcile and report pages, but every page would be useful.
After scrolling down many line items, it would be far quicker to have this function implemented for ease.

Hi team, thanks for showing interest in this idea.

While we don't have any plans for adding this within Xero atm, as mentioned in my last update if you're working on a desktop you can use the 'Home' button on a Windows, or on a Mac you can press the 'Command' key + Left arrow.

This should help when navigating a long lists or pages like reports.

We will continue to track the appetite through this idea.

  13. Currently, this process is separate so you have to recreate the sales order as a purchase order to send to a vendor to fulfill. Instead, next to each item on the Sales Order, or at the top to create a single PO for all items, you could create a Purchase Order. This would put the Sales Order in process and save a step.

  14. When there are no payruns for multiple pay runs in a row, please add a feature to allow to reset the pay cycle from a selected date. As it is, if a client doesn't have any pay runs, we need to either post/file the empty pay runs to keep on the pay calendar, or run all future pays as unscheduled pay runs, or set up a new pay calendar. Wouldn't it be great if there was a more simple way to keep on track with pay cycles?! Also, when selecting an unscheduled pay run, please reorder the pay dates so…

Thanks for sharing your idea regarding unscheduled pay runs. I can see Belinda has let you know how to roll the pay calendar forward in the payroll settings when there have been no pay runs for a while. I hope that's helped.

  15. When emailing invoices with attachments, it would be helpful if we could view attachments, just as a double check.
At the email stage, we can preview the email and invoice prior to sending, but not the attachment.

Hi Gemma, while appreciate your idea and how you'd like to synchronize data between Saturation.io and Xero as we have an open API we generally don't build integrations with other applications ourselves.

We have our Xero developer centre where interested parties can get information on integrating with Xero. Welcome to share this with Saturation.io to see if it's something they'd look to develop themselves.

  17. I would like to be able to assign the 210 CIS labour account to a service for CIS labour. At the moment, I have a couple of services for CIS labour and some for non CIS labour.
For the Non CIS labour, I can creat a service called 'labour' and add the account code to it.
This can't be done with CIS labour at the moment as Xero won't allow it. This means that for each line item of CIS labour in an invoice I have to manually add the 210 CIS account.
This is unnecessarily timecomsuming and allows for…

Hi Leonie, trying to better understand your idea here. When you say payment and credit allocations screen - is this when reconciling your bank account? Or somewhere a bit different.

If you can share a bit more detail of where in Xero, and how this feature would help I can ensure it's shared back with the right product team. It'll help others in the community here understand if this is something they'd like to support, too.

  20. Last Paid Date flag for Vendor or Check bank account details alert.
Increasing there is a need to check bank details for Suppliers - to make sure haven't changed. If a Supplier hasn't been used for many months, Xero doesn't prompt the bank details to be checked. We have had cases where the supplier changed owners and bank accounts but not informed us. The bank details weren't checked. it would be useful if we could have an alert or flag that prompts a check after 3 or 6 months.

Thanks for sharing this idea – it's a really practical suggestion.

We get how easy it is to miss checking bank details, especially for suppliers you haven’t paid in a while. A quick alert or reminder after 3–6 months of no activity could be a great way to help catch changes (like new ownership or account updates) before a payment goes through.

Your idea’s now live for others to see, vote on, and add their thoughts. If this would make things easier for your team, feel free to share it around.
