  1. Hi People, I run a report where I can match my XPM clients to the ATO report. However, since the single client record merger, my reports in XPM have been detecting the Blue Xero files. In other words, the report cannot exclude the Xero Blue files in HQ.

    This is a nuisance because, as practitioners, we need to ensure the currency of our client reports. Can you please create a field that excludes the unrelated data being pulled into the report?

  3. in Recurring invoices, placeholders are essential to accurate and meaningful descriptions. Placeholders seem to currently only offer Week, Month & Year but not ‘Day’ or [DATE] or [TODAY]. (with the usual +/- feature). This would be hugely helpful for recurring daily or weekly invoices or for communicating a relevant billing period on a Monthly invoice (that differs from calendar months or calendar weeks) without having to manually update the date in description of every Repeated invoice. Currently more work is required and ALL repeating invoices need manual intervention before approval whereas if this could be automated Bills could be automatically…

  4. Overpayments should appear in the Find & Match for Customers.
    If a customer pays their correct amount owing, but an overpayment on their account hasn't been allocated against an invoice, it is impossible to reconcile.
    Users have to go into Contacts, check if there is an overpayment, allocate the overpayment against an invoice then go back into the Bank Reconciliation page.
    Users should be able to tick the invoices being paid and the overpayment that was used to reconcile in Find & Match.

  5. Apparently this functionality is enabled on the AU payroll system, but not NZ!

    Essentially, it would be great if an employee's annual salary figure could be displayed on their payslips. Given that this is already an option within Xero Payroll for Australia, surely this is an easy addition for Xero Payroll for New Zealand.

  6. Batch Deposits: allow adding over-payments and pre-payments to a batch deposit from the Invoice > Awaiting Payments tab.

    Currently a bank deposit that includes over-payments or pre-payments will not match recorded batch deposits because over-payments and pre-payments cannot be added to batch deposits. This causes a lot of wasted time communicating with client accounting staff to understand how to reconcile the variances.

Would be really useful to have the ability to add Spend or Receive money transactions (overpayments or prepayments) within the mobile app. At p[resent the only options are bank fees or adjustments. So quite often reconciling transactions requiring this type of action need to be left until able to access a full web browser version.

  8. The data we see in our feed on Xero that's pulled from our Stripe account includes the two-letter card country code for the customer's payment card for all our subscription payments received or refunded via Stripe.

    However, for the payments we receive from Stripe called 'Application fees' (this is when we take a percentage fee of a Stripe payment) the card country code is not included, even though this data exists on Stripe.

    This means we can easily track the location of revenue for subscriptions, but for the received payments for application fees, we have to look this up manually…

  11. When searching for transactions, be they Invoices or Bills, it would be handy if the Search Box/Panel could be pinned in place. It is time consuming when changing from bills/invoices awaiting payment or paid to then search in a different section, the criteria needs to be re-entered. Double entry takes time that could be best suited doing other things. This would also be handy when searching bank transactions across multiple bank accounts.

    i have the following suggestion. I think it would make sense to allow the production of a Dividend Voucher in Xero also by in-house accountants, rather than only by an accounting firm that is a Xero partner.

  16. Hi all,

    I want to run an accounting transactions report... if I filter the contact, it comes up with the whole list (I have loads archived!). Would it be possible to be able to filter out the archived contacts or at the very least, be able to type in the one I want?
    My predecessor saved all PayPal transactions by their individual addresses so have had to archive them all to make my actual contacts list manageable!

  18. Currently, when filtering smart lists by location you can only add [city, state] tags. It would be nicer to be able to just add country tags, to sort / view contacts by country as opposed to by city.

    This would also allow new contacts in that country to automatically be added to the list, vs needing to handle this manually.

  19. When adding or editing a contact, I always enter their address.

    Xero has this great feature that allows searching for addresses, and that's wonderful!

    ...except it's arbitrarily limited to only search addresses in the country the Xero org is registered in; a US Xero org only offers autocompletion for US addresses, for example.

    In this modern, international, remote-friendly age, the notion of only having domestic clients is a little silly– especially when paying for a Xero tier that supports multiple currencies.

    So: being able to search/autocomplete international addresses when editing or adding contacts would be a great addition.

  20. The filter right now only allows to select all or select/deselect some, but sometimes it would be easier to be able to just exclude something (an account, a group of accounts, a contact, an invoice etc).
