  1. It would be very useful if the declined reason could be included in a report/export to enable further investigation as to why quotes where declined.
    This would highlight any patterns, e.g. price to high, delivery to long etc.

  3. I have one employee that is paid the same amount every week, it would be great if I could set the pay run to post and file itself every week until further notice. I have an automatic bank payment set up so this would make it so easy - and more importantly it doesn't rely on me remembering.

    Hi community, while we appreciate you sharing this idea with us here, and understand the interest for being able to automate pay runs, we want to confirm this is not in our plans at present.

  4. It would be great if the Contact Name placeholders could populate the name of the individual person receiving the email rather than just the primary person for a contact.

    ex. I have a contact name for a child with the primary person being Parent 1 and additional person being Parent 2. Would love if the Contact Name placeholders could address the email to each Parent 1 and Parent 2 independently instead of just addressing Parent 1 in both emails.

  6. Xero made a change when adding bills at some point last year.

    Before, when you clicked to add a new bill, it would automatically open in a new tab, really handy when adding multiple bills to a specific supplier.

    Now, you have to right click on add a new bill to open a new tab otherwise you have to keep going back to contacts to re-find the supplier in order to add another bill.

    Not sure why this needed to change as it was far more user friendly and was quicker to add bills before.

  7. Knowing that FX disclosures were expanded to several reports. However, it is awkward when the Adviser report comprises of Statement of Financial Position, Statement of Comprehensive Income, Statement of Changes in Equity, Statements of Cash Flows and Notes to the Financial Statements, only the first two reports are able to be presented in other currency (Eg. SOFP & SOCI presented in USD but SOCE, SOCF and Notes in MYR). Can Xero enable the function of FX in every page of the adviser's report? Thank you.

    We thank you all for sharing in the idea here, and understand there are many permissions that our Xero customers would like to provide on a more incremental basis. As you'll all know access to bank accounts is available to users with Adviser, Standard or limited access to those with Read Only roles - You can see more of the breakdown in our article here

    With much of the teams resource drawn to work on the platform that'll continue to help us with the 'building on beautiful' experience for our customers we want to be upfront that there are no direct plans for altering the user permissions in this space just yet.

    User roles and individual permissions within a bank account will be in the limelight once much of the platform upgrades are complete, but this is some way off atm. We'll return to share when there's any…

  9. Restrict users from updating contact details. updating contact details, address and attention field, updates all invoices/bills previously posted for the contact. Not all users should be able to do this function.

  11. Should be an added feature of having the option to set a standard credit limit at the one time for all customers instead of having to enter each one individually. This can be edited for each customer later on.

  12. It would be great to send an invoice to a client to be signed electronically, and on signing, the signed invoice is automatically attached to the invoice in Xero.

  13. Make all ledger accounts across the P&L and the Balance Sheet available when incorporating formulas into financial statements. Some KPI's draw from accounts comparing a P&L account with a Balance Sheet account. At present, only accounts in the Balance Sheet can be used to do KPI's within. This is not optimal.

On the contact activity it tells you when an invoice reminder was sent but what would be really useful from a contact relations POV would be to be able to click that interaction and view the email so that you could screenshot/resend it to a client who says they didn't receive it. For example I have one saying at the moment they never received the reminder but did the one after and the one before? Odd? Proving the amount, email it went to etc would be a useful "told you so" if you know what I mean.

  15. I can see multiple suggestions and several thread over a number of years regarding the need for an SMS feature for both customer communication and invoicing. When are you going to add this? The tech is readily available to you. Many other platforms offer this now. Please prioritize this enhancement! Thanks.

    Hi everyone, sending invoices via SMS is now available to all Australian users that have connected Stripe. With great uptake we're now looking to extend this feature, and the next region SMS will be launched to is the US. I'll keep you updated on it's release here. We'll continue working toward making this feature available to more users so any news of other regions will also be shared through this idea.

    Just to confirm for everyone here - It's not currently possible to set up send SMS for invoice reminders, to send an invoice via SMS you'll need to open each invoice and select this option from the 3 dot option menu in the top right of the invoice. Developing a more automated means may be something we look to do over time but isn't in the plans just yet.

    It would be great if we could get reminders for customers and suppliers birthdays, this is great for customer relations. Also a reminder for certain documents that might expire at a certain time.

  17. Add a box to payroll for an employee's preferred name, for those who don't use their legal name as their everyday contact, it doesn't need to link to ATO, so no major coding, just be there for reference when contacting the employee. I have several clients with staff that use their middle name or a different version of their first name, that they prefer when being addressed, and it being there in payroll would simplify things.

  18. It shouldn't be so difficult to assign expenses to customers or projects, an expense or spend money item shouldn't need to be edited to add it to a customer or project.
    Simplifying this process could be as simple as an extra column that can be enabled on the Account Transactions view and if a transaction isn't assigned to a project or expense then it can be simply clicked in the column and the customer or project selected.
    Additionally Bank Rules should be able to include the option to assigned to customers or projects, if we have a client that charges…

  19. Right now it's not possible to remove the Capital Gain line from the disposal journal when the sales price is more than the original purchase price.

    This means, that if you have a motor vehicle that you sold for higher than it's purchase price, the Fixed Asset register will not let you dispose of this asset without recording a capital gain - even though motor vehicles have no capital gains tax on them.

    This issue needs to be fixed.

The ‘fresh new look’ you have decided to give invoice emails is garish and on the verge of being offensive/pushy - WE ARE NOT A FAN! - and we have been told that this cannot be adjusted!!!!!!!!!!! - REALLY!!!!!!???? - not impressed!!!!! - give the option to amend this or put it back to as it was, please!!!

    Sorry to hear the changes are not to your liking, Oliver. While we won't be changing back I can definitely share any specifics that you'd like to see changed. Can you give me any more detail on what it is about the new look that you don't like?
