For those of us that have multiple entities in Xero - Somewhere along the way an extra step (click) has been added when changing from one entity to another, you can no longer just choose your required entity from the drop-down menu (in the top left-hand corner), but now have to click on the drop-down menu and then click 'Change organisation' to show and select your entity.

    Are we able to remove this unneccessary extra step (click) and have it back how it was originally?

  2. Xero billing: Please make the packages pricing clearer on the monthly invoices.
    i.e. please add the package elements breakdown. It doesn't have to be a separate line item, it could even just be added to the text description, but showing one price, as per the invoices from xero, does not explicity explain that there is a breakdown for items mentioned. Seeing this clarity on the monthly invoices is very helpful for ensuring transparency from xero to its customers.   3. Xero offers users the ability to select between cash-based accounting and accrual-based accounting for financial reports. However, a major problem is that the inventory sales reports are based only on accrual-based accounting. This means the financial reports and inventory sales reports are never consistent. Please add the ability to run cash-based accounting reports for inventory sales (sales by item, etc.).

  4. Greetings,

    Xero offers an outstanding process for depositing Invoices with Awaiting Payments (pictured below). Our business does not use this feature because invoices are paid immediately.

    Why there is no similar process for Paid Invoices (cash)? It seems of utmost importance.

    I believe numerous businesses would benefit greatly from having this feature for Paid Invoices as it will increase efficiency, accuracy, and allow for more streamlined bookkeeping.

    When you say that the invoices are paid immediately, how are they currently reconciled?

    Just trying to better understand how you envision this flow to help you move more efficiently in Xero.

  8. The Contact Financial Details Reference field used to be populated with the last reference entered for a customer in the Customer Invoice Batch Clearing reference field. I have many customers paying by ACH or Zelle and have the same reference information each week. For my customers that I have had for a long time the reference field is copied from the Contact Financial Details Reference. But for any new Customers this functionality does not work and the field is blank in Batch Clearing. So I have to enter the reference for each blank line on the batch. Please add the…

  9. When reconciling, it would be helpful to see if an attachment has been added, and to preview that attachment if so, rather than having to open the bill and then click on the attachment, then causing to lose the info on the reconciliation page.

  10. To attach proof/evidence of multi receipts/payments when that batch is a mix of invoice and also pre/overpayment, credit. We can attach to a single type of action, but not mixed. Keeps things tidy and also much quicker to see what exactly was in a batch, than to go back to a physical document holder

  11. I have worked with an accounting system that allows many rows e.g. description, Qty, Price, Account and Tax rate to be copied from Excel (at a go) and pasted to create an invoice, Journal etc. This saves a lot of time.

  12. When adding an invoice we can add an amount and make it either Vat inclusive or exclusive using the drop down box.
    Currently this box is on the left side of the invoice layout..why not have it on the right next to the total box as it was in classic view?
    It would be more user friendly!

    Hi Phil, appreciate the feedback. Our teams did lots of research and user testing when making decisions on the placement of options within invoicing.

    Being open we don't have any plans for changing the placement of the Amounts are field. However it'd still be good to track the interest in this from our community here that our team can consider.

  14. It would streamline workflow if there was a feature that allowed us to store a client's credit card on file and when a single invoice is sent out to the client, the business can charge the card on file.

    In previous invoicing systems, I was able to "store" a client's credit card on file and then invoice and charge the credit card on file. This is an important feature for my business as it removes the burden off my clients for paying the invoice and reduces the amount of follow up on my end for collecting payment.

    Hi everyone, apologies we've not provided an update here before now. Over the past year there's been a lot of development throughout Sales, more centralised around the new invoicing experience. With the upgraded technology new invoicing is built on we've been able to begin developing the send experience, with improvements to customise and send invoices, and help you get paid faster.

    Being able to automate the send of customer statements is high on our product teams radar, however we want to be transparent that this isn't planned in the short term. As we continue to develop and uplift throughout the Sales experience this is definitely an area the team will draw closer attention to, however with lots of different projects on the go we aren't able to bring focus to this right now.

  17. Supplier bill payments for South Africa for payments and debit orders that directly pulls from Xero, like being done in the UK with Crezco, which can be done with Paysoft Flow (https://paysoftflow.co.za/) in South Africa for example.

    Hi Lilly, with Xero expenses you can upload a copy of a receipt and have it auto capture the contents to create an expense through the app - See more on this here

    Is there a reason you'd prefer to email receipts to your org over the existing method? Will help when sharing back with the team.
