  1. It is great that we are now able to add repeating transactions to the Short-Term Cash Flow. Can an option for repeating quarterly be added please? For example, as an accountant using Xero and invoicing from XPM, I need to add repeating quarterly invoices for lodging BAS into the Short-term cash flow, rather than into repeating invoices.

  2. Ability to include a prediction date for the credit to be taken without allocating to an invoice as you can currently do with customer invoices.
    Credits to be included in cash flow calculations when not allocated to a specific invoice.

  3. Currently when you are viewing the GST Audit Report , you can select an item to view in more detail. When you back arrow to return to the GST Audit Report, Xero takes you back to the first item on page 1, not at the position where you left the Audit Report . It would be beneficial to the user, and would save a lot of time scrolling, if Xero returned the user to the position where they left the report.

  4. GST Audit Report Page number selection to also appear at the top of the screen as well as the bottom of the screen. This would be beneficial to the user so they do not have to scroll down to the bottom of the screen to select what page they wish to review/go to. saving time for the end-user.

  5. Live timesheet entries will be awesome, instead of having to wait a whole fortnight to check entries from Xero Me(only when submitted), we can check them daily or on a regular basis.

  7. I migrated from QB Desktop to Xero last year, and whilst Xero produces the accounts etc perfectly well I find processing book-keeping data takes me around 20% longer than it used to. Here are a few ideas which would speed this up:
    1. Have a button to scroll to next or last invoice, bill, journal etc rather than having to look at a transaction, then go back to the list to see the next transaction.
    2. Allow a default bank account to be set up for e.g. payments, receipts etc

  8. When generating quotes or invoices in foreign currencies, the amount should get automatically converted based on the current conversion rate. At the moment this needs to be done manually as the system just changes the currency without actually converting the value. This can be quite tedious if there are a large number of items or prices in an invoice.

    Appreciate the feedback on your needs here and giving detail of the ideal # of characters that'd be useful to your business.

    To clarify as it appears there may be some confusion, the 4,000 character limit is per line and based on the characters that can be entered in the 'Description' field of each line within the invoice. This does not apply to the invoice as a whole.

    We want to be open that at this time we still do not have any plans for extending this limit, however we will continue to track and review this idea and share if any plans are made.

  10. Sales question:
    we want to buy xero. We only do 100 transactions per year, but we have one month which has more than 20 invoices and 5 bills, (an event we organise). does the basic subscription do monthly transaction counts only or can it do an annual transaction count.

  11. Please keep the current feature of adding item codes to billable expenses so that the preset charge out rate and account pulls through. In the new system adding an item code wipes out the billable expense.

  12. An option on the templates to remove the VAT/Tax heading. For non-VAT registered companies this heading isn't relevant, therefore, should have the option to completely remove it.

    Please can we have the ability to change the settings on suppliers bills due date to move than 31 days of the following month. We have several suppliers where we do not need to pay until 60 days after the end of the month in which the bill is issued.

    Thanks for sharing here, Karen. To just get a better understanding would this be when creating a new bill, or perhaps a repeating bill? It'll be handy when sharing back with the team. 

    You could set up defaults in your Contacts to auto enter the due date for example as 60 days after the end of the invoice month, or similarly with a repeating bill you could set this up in the template. 

  15. When filtered for the bank accounts in the account transaction report, the related account column often shows AR/AP for bills and invoices. This loses the visibility for us. It would be great to see further drill down of related account of each line item instead of just AR/AP.

  16. As an existing Nest pension employer - we moved our payroll from an external supplier - in house to our existing Xero account. However, after repeated error messages - "Pension filling rejected by pension provider. Download and read the error report to learn about the problem." and 3 hours on the chat/phone/email with Nest saying ot was a Xero issue - I eventually got the response from Xero support below - it's a known error with the first submission! How have they either not fixed it - or at least offer help and guidance to everyone who all those who…

  17. It would be nice if the "Allocate Credit Balance" screen could be changed:
    Sometimes there are a lot of invoices to be matched to one overpayment or to one big credit note. The practice is to allocate the credit towards the older outstanding invoices, first. The credit total available to match, is shown at the bottom. This means you have to keep scrolling to the bottom to see what amount is still left to allocate.   18. When transferring money between bank accounts in Xero - it would be good to restrict the user to only making the transfer if there is actually a matching transaction in the other account. As it is currently, the user can make the transfer and then it sits in the unreconciled payments or receipts for a bookkeeper to tidy up later on.

  19. Inventory - have a column on the main products/services page that shows when the last price update was made so able to know if the latest price is shown. Would feed from the individual product/service item. Would be super helpful to know for tradespeople so they know they are charging the items at the latest price.
