  1. Allow to change user name for a specific email, without changing the name on 'ALL" historical notes on profiles.
    Currently, if i have a new user/employee doing the same roll and a previous user/employee, with the same email/log in; if i change this user name, ALL of the notes for that email account log in get changed to the current user name, so it is difficult to make out who actually made that/those notes without looking at the dates to work out when that person/started or left the role!

  4. GoCardless offer Subscription Templates and the processes by which customers can sign up for them are simple and effective.

    For my company offering Boiler Service Plans it would be great to use GoCardless to sign customers up, but then have Xero keep a record of Invoices and Direct Debit Payments.

    I see it working like this: A customer visits our website and picks the Subscription Template that suits them. They click to set up a Direct Debit Mandate via GoCardless. That GoCardless Customer is matched to an existing Xero Contact or a new one is created. GoCardless then generates monthly…

  5. I'm setting up a budget in Budget manager. Is it possible to budget that one expense line is a percent of another - eg Superannuation is 11.5% of wages payable?

  7. I would like to be able to send a bank/xero link to connect the AMEX credit card feeds or other banks that enable linking via internet banking, rather than having to add the client as a user in Xero first to be able to connect bank feeds via a link. This seems to complicate the signing of completed financials and tax returns sent from xero to the client for signature. It asks them to login (when their email is connected with a Xero account just so they could link internet banking) and many clients are finding it frustrating.

  9. In response to the "Custom Report - Update-able date column" idea (now closed), you recently added the option to 'Follow report date range' so your custom date columns will automatically update based on the date you run the report for.
    Why (on earth!) is this not the default behaviour? This is what I thought should be happening and have spent ages, included a support session, trying to sort out the implication of it not working as expected. The column date should normally reflect the report date, surely.

  12. When I login to Xero, I enter my email address and password and am taken to the second page (MFA).

    I'm then asked for the authenticator code, but I have to click into the field to enter the code.

    Xero knows that there is an almost 100% likelihood that the first (and only) thing I am going to do on that page is enter the MFA code.

    Xero should automatically have the cursor in that field so that I can type the code without clicking into the field.

  13. Recently did the super and needed to add the TFN of each and every individual employee manually into the file.

    If it's a required field for the clearing house file then it should be included in the super accruals report - obviously.

  14. Repeating Invoices - automatic price increase

    We have several client contracts which include 5% price increases per annum. It would be great if you could create a repeating invoice and specify a percentage to increase the amount by on its next repeat

  15. New Invoicing - Type in Item - please change back to only searching start of field, as per old invoicing.
    Now that typing in the Item field in the new invoicing brings up every item with that word or part word in anywhere, we either need to learn all the codes, or make sure our items all contain totally different words. It takes ages to find the item required.

  18. In Payroll --> Timesheet --> entering hours for employees, there is no option to 'Approve & Next' employee, which would make entering hours easier. It would mean one doesn't have to keep going back to the main Timesheet menu when they are working through a roster of staff.

  19. In the Standard Invoice template - the delivery address currently shows in the middle column, rather than under the name of the business. This is confusing if a business has multiple locations, with one centralised billing address. It means that the centralised billing office can't easily see which location the invoice is for/items were delivered to.
    It would be better to show the delivery address under the name of the "To" so it's obvious which location the items were delivered to with the name and the corresponding details of address and contact person.

  20. I have a client with three bank accounts. Currently it generates me an overall Profit and Loss Statement. if I want to get a Profit and Loss Statement for a single bank account I have to download to excel to be able to process this. It would be great if the Xero system would allow this option. Thank you very much.
