  3. Hi there,

    I am using payroll manager currently for all my client payroll services, and xero does not provide reports like HMRC monthly payment, P32, I can see it but can not download it to send to my client for payment. Also no employee wage report whereby my client see all deductions/additions and pay net wage to all staffs.

    Please check this software https://moneysoft.co.uk/payroll-manager-overview/ this is far best software so far and probably all accounting practices are using it because its user friendly and provide too comprehensive report to clients and employer

When viewing reports ( e.g. transactions reports) if you change the date range of the report after you have looked at the transactions for a particular date range , the report comes up with "nothing to show" so you have to close it and reopen the report with the different dates - it's annoying and time consuming.

    Hi Shelley, is this something you've approached our Support team about ? It'd be good to have them dive deeper into this if not already to confirm behaviours. 

    If you have transactions entered in your org for the dates the report is being run this should be reflected in your report results. 

  6. In the app, it would be a huge timesaver if you could create repeating invoices. I spend most of my time in the android app and this is the one thing it's missing 🙂

  7. I would like to have the ability to create a bill with a negative balance. This way, I can control the full credit to the exact sales tax account. The current way a Credit is applied to a batch bill it takes a percentage off each line item (total due and sales tax). I have to remit tax in multiple states, and the way credits are handled throws off my totals to remit. Right now, I edit existing bills and apply credits within the bill for a workaround.   8. Add simple manual and automatic backup schedules that can download data entry and activity on a daily, weekly, monthly or annual basis.

    This would address everyone's fear of losing all our hard work inputting invoices, receipts, data etc.

  9. I'd like to see a chat /conversational interface like ChatGPT where we can ask it questions like

    What was our profitability last month?
    Where is our biggest opportunity to cost cut?

    If I want to get profit to $*** with the same revenues what areas should I focus on cutting the most?

    The goal here is to have conversational chat with Xero to dig through the data that's there and find action items to improve the business finances.

    Interesting idea - Thanks for sharing, Carl. 

    Not something we have in the plans atm but we'll begin to get a sense of the interest surrounding this here. 

    In the meantime, if you'd like to get a view of insights from your org, you might like to look into Xero Analytics and Analytics Plus with Business Snapshot and Short term cashflows, two dashboards that give insight into your business information. 

  10. Currently the super funds appear in the super settings page in no particular order. It would be great if they appear in order so its easier to find and check if they have already been added or if a payment bounces and you need to check details.

  11. We have two accounts (bank & credit card) from the same institution. For bank feeds, please allow multiple logins from the same institution.

    Once we login for a bank feed on one of the accounts, we can't set up the bank feed for the other account. It just asks us to choose the already logged in account.

    I also reached out to support. They said "a Xero user can only use one set of credentials (per bank) in a Xero organisation. We recommend that you ask another Xero user to login and activate the feed…

  12. Kelly Munro shut down discussion on an idea I suggested, because she was under the mistaken impression that she had resolved the issue, which she had not. I suggested that it would be useful to be able to allocate payment of purchase invoice against overpayments and credits. While what Kelly suggested was correct - that this is possible to do when an invoice is first raised, it is only possible at this stage. It is not possible later. It would be great once you have split a transaction that rather than just clicking on save and being returned to the Cash coding screen to click on reconcile, than you could have an option to click Save & Reconcile so that the transaction is coded and reconciled all in the one screen and then it returns you to your Cash coding screen

  15. I want our employees to receive an automatic email when their leave balance is above a certain level, separate to their payslip. The email will be a prompt advising them of their leave balance and our company policy regarding taking leave. I'd anticipate the email workflow would be triggered once each payroll period, when it is completed, based on a conditional logic such as 'if balance is greater than X, this email is generated for Employee A'.

  16. When you have grouped various account codes together in the layout there should be an option to expand or collapse the report when it is being prepared without needing to go back into the report layout to open/close each group.

    I can't imagine it would be too difficult for the development team to bring the functionality from the layout stage to the report stage.

  17. Please can we have the functionality to add more than one gocardless account to one organisation? We have a client account where funds are directed to a trust account under one account and then our normal gocardless account and would be great to be able to include both sets of transactions (at the moment we have one linked and the other is updated manually at the end of the month.)

  18. In addition to individual accounts, it would be great to select a group total from the Balance Sheet (or P & L) to put in the Account Watchlist, eg if you have a number of loans and you want to see what Total Loans are on the dashboard.

  19. I already submitted and someone closed off my ticket incorrectly.

    I want the ability to have a default template for INVOICES and a different default template for QUOTES.

    Someone submitted this as already existing here https://central.xero.com/s/article/Set-default-invoice-quote-templates?userregion=true

    But the default invoice template set for the contact will override the organisation’s default template when you add an invoice, quote, customer

  20. VAT Return - transactions by VAT Box
    Hi our company VAT return is currently over 400 pages long. Reviewing it is not easy when you have the box 1 figure on page one. I then scroll to about page 65 to get to the box 4 numbers after scrolling past it 2 or 3 times.
    It would be amazing if there was a navigation panel to one side that I could click and it would take me to the page of the vat return relevant to the box number I want to review.
