In Projects, when we add tasks to the project (pulled from Products and Services) and then Create Quote, the Product or Service name is what imports into the description line in the Quote and not the description from that Product or Service, as it does when creating a quote outside of Projects. Having this consistency makes sense (and is strange that it is not already the default) but it makes creating a quote from projects cumbersome, as the description needs to be added manually.

  4. Ability to enter total amount of Purchase Order and number of units, then the unit price will be automatically calculated. Have quotes given by suppliers that are a fixed amount that cannot be changed, and because of the Unit number the total has to round up, it doesn’t give the same total.

  5. Add Bank Rules as an option to Accounting/Advanced options.

    Much easier to navigate via Accounting dropdown menu than via Bank Accounts, eg when recoding transactions usually need to update a rule as well

  6. After adding a bill to pay, there is an option to add another bill. I suggest another option, "Add another bill from this vendor". I often process more than one bill from the same company.

  7. When viewing a contact, the options to "add group" and "remove group" are two separate functions, making moving a contact from one group to another very clunky. This request is to combine the add/remove feature, so you can simply select/unselect which groups a contact is in. This would mean that to move a contact from one group to another, you would simply deselect the old group checkbox and check the new group checkbox.

  8. An Employee's payslip gives the current pay period earnings, deductions and net take home pay. It's missing YTD earnings and deductions information on a payslip. Please consider including the same in your future updates. Thanks, We are a Canadian based business.

  9. In Xero HQ when we create a New Template for Reports and add reports according to our preference, We are unable to add reports like Top Suppliers and Top customers report in Xero HQ but those reports are available in individual client's organizations.

    It would be great if we can add these reports in Xero HQ so it would be easy to generate month end reports from Xero HQ for all the clients.

    Hi Andrea, if you'd like to have a field to enter your SAP # into you could look to save this as the Item Code for inventory you set up in your org. You can search items from products and services in Xero , and export your inventory items so you'd be able to export all item codes if this is where you save your SAP #. 

    If you're looking for the step further of being able to scan inventory into the system - this isn't something we're looking to develop for and you can see more on this from the idea here 

  11. There should be an option to enter a prepayment to/from a Contact as such, that is a prepayment. For now, it has to be entered as an invoice. Creating an invoice also creates HST due/credit and it does not follow tax/HST rules because a prepayment is not a sale.

The need to have an occassional tax point date that is different from that of the invoice date has arisen, usually found in the retail sector, and there is not currently an ability to add the field to the sales invoice form. Can there be the ability to have this feature added, albeit a hidden one? Currently the work around is to create an invoice outside of Xero and send that version to the client, causing additional workload. We have been seeing this from vendors for years but the workaround there is entering in the tax point as the invoice…

  13. UK. We employ temporary staff who do not accrue leave while taking paid leave they have previously accrued. The only way to reflect this in Xero is to manually adjust the leave balance. I would like to be able to add a pay item of paid leave that does not accrue further leave.

  16. There is a a Bug - Dashboard says under VAT Return Payment due in x days but payment was already made some days ago, properly conconciled with the exact correct amount. Xero should recognise this and not show an amount due in Dashboard which is incorrect.

    Hi Vijay, there is already an option to go straight to Bank Rules - if you click on the 3 dots in a bank widget on the Dashboard you'll see an option for Bank Rules like shown in my image below 🙂🙂

    If this isn't quite what you're after it'd be good to get more detail to understand your needs here. 

  18. No idea - this was mentioned 5 years ago but the new system seems to have lost the original idea/moan.

    This is a very simple and quick one dev-wise.

    The "Purchase Order" needs to simply pull through the "customer name" and "contact number" from their profile - once you have searched for it at the bottom of the PO where it says "Delivery Address".

    Every other form uses word doc templates where you can choose your merge field name and it retrieves that information from the contact profile. Why does this form not do it?

  19. I'd like to add a note within a pay run that is visible to "admin only".
    Eg. To justify differences due to staff timesheet errors.
    I don't want the staff to be able to see this note but I'm sick of having notes in external programs.
