  1. When using the new Avalara auto taxes, the options are now show every line item tax rate, even if it's except. This is not right. Tax Exempt lines should show Exempt, just like they did with the manual tax entry. My clients are confused why every line item shows a rate rate, even if it isn't being taxed. In the business AND accounting world this is not right. Only items that are being taxed should show tax rate.

  2. On the Xero mobile app, it would be great to be able to search Products & Services. If a customer wants a price on an inventory item, I have to create an invoice or quote, then add an item to see a price. A Product & Services link off the Dashboard would be very helpful.

  3. Notify Client when reports are published to Xero! Each month I publish client financial statements to the clients Xero company. It would be incredible it I could send a message through Xero to notify clients that their reports have been published! Life - changing - Incredible!

  5. It would be great if there is a way to quickly view all the pay runs for a specific employee, without the need to go through 'Pay employees' under the 'Payroll' section and opening every pay run individually.

  7. Watchlist - Ability to toggle off MTD and/or YTD.

    When using Gusto payroll the Xero Book balance for the checking account is not affected until the checks are cashed. I have added the Clearing account to the Watchlist but the MTD number is of no value. The YTD balance shows all checks still outstanding. Users can then manually deduct from book balance to know what's really available. So I'd like the ability to show/no show MTD and YTD by options to turn each on or off in the watchlist dialogute for each chart of account item.

  8. We sent an invoice to a customer that had the bank details for payment added into Xero incorrectly on our end. Error has since been corrected, but customer has the initial Xero-generated invoice with the incorrect details. When I view the invoice in Xero now, it shows the correct bank details. Is there a way to find/see the invoice that was sent with incorrect details?

  9. On VAT returns, there are "ADJUSTED" columns. This is a good idea as it can highlight mistakes, but it also picks up any auto-rounding error created by Xero itself, always of £0.01. This is annoying as it means each of these "Adjusted" entries needs to be checked.
    My proposal is to not include any rounding errors of £0.01
    It will save a lot of time having to go through every "adjusted" item, as it would whittle them down to only ones with real error.

We currently use a custom report for our management account reporting which is basically full year budget buy account code, budget YTD, Actual YTD and variances to show remaining budget YTD and remaining annual budget. We would like to be able to add a feature that includes all approved orders not yet billed so that our stakeholders can actually see the true budgets remaining to enable them to make informed decisions about future spend.

  11. In some instances we have matchable bank feed lines which need handling on one or two different way.

    For example, A refund might be vatable or non vatable depending on the customer
    A staff payment might be payroll or it might be expenses

    It would be nice here to have 2 rules with identical match perams, but alternative line handling and xero could suggest both of them in the bank feed. OR when you click "Don't apply role" it would suggest the next one.

  12. Once you approve the purchase order a pop up or a drop down on the approval button to be able to select 'approve and send' automatically, our organization doesn't require higher management approval to purchase, I enter and send immediately..

  13. When sending an email from an email client, you have the ability to ask for a delivery receipt - for notification when the email arrives at the destination server. I'd like the same ability when I send an invoice by email from Xero.

    Currently, in order to get an email delivery receipt, I have to send the invoice to myself via Xero (so that I have the links in the email correct) and then forward using an email client to the customer. Obviously, from an audit trail point of view, this is suboptimal.

  14. It is time to add support for alternative browsers than just the big 4. There are many privacy and security benefits with browsers like Opera, compared to say Chrome. And not so much tracking and privacy impacts.

  16. Part 1: Integrate with Companies office NZ (or similar) so that when I enter the name of a new contact it looks for the details of the company published on the companies office / NZBN. This could reduce data entry and validate that the name entered is a real company, accepting it wouldn't cover other entities.

    Part 2: When a company status changes (e.g. goes into liquidation) you could show Xero users a warning, could do the same for company name & address changes etc..

  18. During the creation process, we should be allowed to update all fields necessary on the Contact record.

    Example I have at the moment is one of my customers needs to set their clients details within Xero so they can invoice them correctly. At the moment we can't use the API to set the Website field.

  20. When looking at the Pay Run / Pay Run History page, please add number of employees in each pay run to the overview. We report on this each pay period and would make more sense to be shown here then having to click into the pay run or
