  1. Now that you cant attached docuemnts from files to a contact like you used to I have to download them from the files screen, but before I can download them, I have to click on them to preview first. I have to do this for 4 documents right now.
    I would love to see the below made available in the files screen:
    1. Have download available in the three dot drop down.
    2. Have the three dot drop down options available in the preview screen

    Hi Fiona, hoping you may have seen my recent update that we have now developed the ability to upload files to a contact record from the file library.

    Appreciate your idea is still valid also and we'll continue to track the demand for this here. If there's any further changes around this, I"ll let you know. Thanks

  2. Contact Cash Activity Report that shows all contacts and can show both individual transactions or a summary (total).

    It would be more efficient than having to select each contact individually

  3. Currently you can't select NONE on Job Tracking list when reconciling on mobile - it would be great if this was added just like it is when reconciling on desktop

  4. There are three types of bank rules (receive, spend, transfer) and there is no absolute order. So, if there is a conflict between one that is # 1 in transfer and # 100 in spend, the spend one wins.
    Do you see what I mean?
    There is currently no way around this? It would be good to have an absolute rule order covering all three types of rules.

  5. My Bank rules were deleted by someone. Xero doesn't have a restore function or the ability to see who deleted these.
    We need this for compliance purposes and the safety of our data purposes.

  6. When editing an Invoice or a Bill Containing Products, The form have the Very bad feature of automatically resetting the Qty to 1... causing all kind of error.

    Sometimes we have to update an Invoice, a purchase order or a bill to reflect business changes. When you do that, the form automatically resets the QTY to 1 and the Reset the discount to Customer default and does not show you it was done. So mistakes are being made...
    If you feel the need to do so, at minima, the page should highlights the modified numbers to give us a chance…

  8. We noticed some forms use Edit vs. Revise, and Save vs. Update, and other different wording for the same outcome. It might be helpful to standardize the wording in the Options menu across the forms. A standardized options menu for the common options to save, edit, print, send, delete, etc, might help users learn the program faster and increase efficiency of use, overall. It would for us. What are your thoughts?

It would be great to see an option of being able to highlight in red or yellow a particular line on your sales invoice for the client to specifically take note of, because at the moment when I add a note for clients to see I write it in capitals but it still gets ignored. Whereas if it was highlighted they may take more notice of it.

  11. Since we ultimately want to see how much each employee is spending and since employees must be set up as a contact - We should be able to link the employees User Id to their contact. This way all the expenses submitted will show up as spend money transactions under the contact for each employee.

    Obviously right now the employee could choose themselves as the contact when they submit the expense report but more often than not, they will not.

    Having the contact linked to the user id will be particularly helpful for reconciling credit cards since the contact info…

  12. I would be a huge benefit to be able to see invoices using some type of 'Quick Look' function from the invoice list rather than having to open each one fully to view details. This would allow us to quickly look at a customers history without the time consuming task of opening each one.

  14. This report is great, I love it but we need to be able to customize it more. When you try and add columns it gives a message saying that you have to delete the total column first, then you need to manually add a total column which isn't the end of the world, but you can't select the the new total column in and of the formulas, like if I wanted to add the variance column (Which I would love to) but I can't.

  15. Would be great to have a "Disable" button for checked/selected Bank rules on the bank rule page, rather than only a "Delete" button. Sometimes staff want to turn them off but we don't want to delete them.

  16. On the XeroMe app for staff to log their timesheets, it will be beneficial to add a "Reason for overtime" textbox for every day, so that they can justfiy their overtime. Sometimes staff overclaim more than they should. Justifications are a good reminder for the employer to pay overtime rates correctly.

  17. Ask for Xero to auto generate GST data entry on Bills.
    I wish to only enter gross invoice total and GST paid amounts and have XERO calculate and record GST free line and GST inclusive line - This was a valuable feature of Quicken.

  18. I have a staff member working a 9 day fortnight not on an RDO arrangement. It would be great to have a 'week 1' pay template and a 'week 2' pay template. We pay our staff weekly not fortnightly.

  19. Bulk issuing a once-off bonus payment to employees. Instead of updating each pay template individually with the additional pay item, the ability to add this during a pay run would save a lot of time. Being able to select who to add it to or edit them once it has been added to all the pay templates would also help this process.

  20. PAYROLL CONVERSION BALANCES - SEND EMAIL ALERTS / WARNINGS
    Xero sends email alerts when a bank account numbers is changed. Can it also send an email alert when an employee's leave conversion balances have been changed? This will alert fraudulent leave balance adjustments by unscrupulous staff / management.
