  1. Why is the next bill feature no longer available in bill preview?
    The bill preview is a great feature in awaiting bills, allowing you to view the bill and xero transaction at the same time, before you schedule a bill for payment. There were up and down arrows allowing you to move through all the bill transactions & their respective invoice/s that were awaiting payment.

    However, in the last week it is no longer available. You have to keep clicking in and out of each bill to preview. Its time consuming. Can we please have this feature back?

  2. Most people using accounting software are keyboard proficient. Having to use a mouse to see and click on drop down lists is inefficient. This is particularly bad when applying payments to the new invoicing system. I can see you've updated this so that you can tab across when you're creating a new invoice - please extend this functionality to the payment field. (All we really want is for you to #BringBackClassicInvoicing)

    Hi Amanda, are there any particular fields you're having issues tabbing through in the payments window? We recently released a change so you can now type in dates rather than having to choose from the calendar.

    I’m reaching out from a regional local government in Western Australia. We want to use Xero and appreciate its simplicity and usability. However, we’ve found that Xero’s current design is limiting for local government requirements — particularly in terms of transaction volume, internal controls, audit reporting, governance, and integrated project accounting.

  4. The ability to have a set lock date EACH month. For example, every month by the 5th the prior month is locked for users other than the advisers. Currently you can manually do this, IF you remember.

    My issues is, if I do not remember the accounting clerk will go back multiple months creating entries and causing issues.

  5. Purchase Orders - ability for the suppliers that you send the Purchase Order, to view the document online and have the option to import the Purchase Order to Quotes and Sales Invoices.

    The Purchase order area of Xero feels a bit underdeveloped at the moment. However, one strong step would be to allow Purchase orders sent by Company A from their Xero account to be transferred to Company B's Xero Sales area at the click of a button (giving an option of Quote or direct to sales invoice).

  6. Fixed Assets - Add tax depreciation for UK
    At the moment, only the Australian version of Xero offers a tax depreciation function. We need this feature in the UK version too if Xero Tax is to be considered as a serious Tax software.

  7. There isn't anywhere in Xero where we can add brief feedback. This would be helpful to have in the help menu please.

    For example there is a new issue after the new updates on invoicing - this feature would allow a quick notification to Xero that something needs fixed or we are super impressed with new changes! It takes too long to add something to product ideas (like now), to be ignored or gather a lot of voters before something is fixed. Same with raising a case, most of the time it wont be a fix, we get directed back…

  8. It would be useful if when manually adding an expense to a project, there could be a description box available as well as entering the expense name. We sometimes need to elaborate on those costs for the numerous people looking at that expense but there is no-where to put this information unless it's added to the expense name.

  9. Rows on invoices - On the new invoicing manually adding rows is cumbersome for a mechanic business suggest making more than 1 row on the invoice. I rarely have an invoice which is less than 6 rows.
    Font size- Font is very small and should be increased to at minimum 12pt.

When I enter the month of the bank statement with the bank statement beginning and ending balances and want to make sure all of the transactions from that month's bank statement are accounted for, checks that were written in a previous month but not posted in the bank statement until another month aren't showing up in coded transactions in the month where the bank transaction occurred. The reconciliation with the check payment and the bank transaction can be made, but the transaction doesn't show up in coded transactions section of the bank reconciliation detail report for the month the bank…

  12. Currently, Xero automatically assigns holiday leave to the pay period in which it falls. However, for businesses with a different pay schedule within the tax periods, (e.g., a financial period running from the 6th to the 5th of the month), such as cut off being the 28th of the previous month and paying on the 5th of the month. this can cause confusion and misalignment in holiday pay processing. Employees may receive their holiday pay in a month that doesn’t align with the leave taken, leaving them out of pocket or causing administrative burdens.

  16. When using the new Check box. 'Use as billing address'. If you type in the address afterwards and edit the address. It deletes the the selected checkbox. 'use as billing address'

    Just frustrating as you have to go back in and recheck.

  17. I've been using your Bill.com integration for the last couple of weeks and I already had to reach out to Xero support twice to make a simple change in Bill.com settings. This requires the user (me) to open a case in Xero which subsequently has Xero support open a case in Bill.com (and then Xero support going back and forth between Bill.com and the user).

    There should be either:

    1. a settings page within Xero for all the Bill.com settings and variables or,

    2. Ability to have credentials on Bill.com to update the Bill.com settings.

  18. After the customer accepts the quote, we need to book the work in. It doesn't get invoiced until the work is complete. It would be helpful if we could add an "Expected Start Date" to quotes after they've been accepted, or at least be able to mark it as "Booked".

  20. Xero needs to create a subscription purely designed for sole traders.
    Applications like hnry are alot more user-friendly and a subsciption plan designed purely for sole traders who want to manage their own returns would be great. It would also be ideal to have the subscription cost refined for this type of usage also
