  1. When suppliers are paid, the payment is given a reference, and this is then used to file paperwork. We can no longer see the payment reference when reviewing paid supplier invoices. Please bring this back.

  2. There is no functionality in Xero to 'Hide account codes on all pages' as we have "Hide decimals on all pages'.

    Can we have this functionality - at present we need to check each page before publishing to ensure that there are no account codes showing.

  3. Xero expenses has been with us for 5 years. There have been no significant feature upgrades despite us all paying extra for the privilege.
    Basic functionality like searchability, proper alignment with bill functionality to search suppliers and see total engagement with suppliers, ability to include attachments (e.g. bill documents from expenses) to pass through to customer invoices, ability to add a markup to expenses (e.g. for common cost plus models) etc. - NONE, not a little, nothing, zilch, nada of this has been actioned by Xero and nobody seems to be available or interested in discussing it.     Thanks for the engagement on this idea, team. You may have noticed over the past year we have made some updates to the Bills list screen that allows you to choose which columns to view, as well as introducing quick view which should make it a bit easier to see the tax and amounts you're after without needing to navigate away from the list.

    Just to confirm while you can add Total, as column there is no tax amount column right now, and this isn't something we have planned atm however we'll continue to watch the appetite here.

  5. Remove the 'Skip' or 'Allocate Credit' pop up box when entering invoices.
    When entering a number of invoices, if the customer who you are entering an invoice for has a credit on their account, a box appears asking to 'allocate the credit' or 'skip.' By clicking either it takes you back to the enter invoice screen without the option of adding another invoice. This makes it quite time consuming when entering a number of invoices.

    Is there a way from stopping the 'allocate credit' or 'skip' boxes appearing?

  6. Email allocation to different tasks for Xero-I think it would be beneficial to be able to allocate a different email address for a number of tasks, ie Invoices / statements have one, another for quotes and suppliers ie bills. I have a client that doesn't wish to receive every email for every aspect of the business as its not part of her role. Do you think this would be possible?

  7. If I'm paying a bill by monthly direct debit (say Business rate), it would be useful to have the ability to set up multiple payments instead of having to set up 12 separate identical monthly payments.

  8. The recent changes to the contacts screen have done nothing but hinder our business. You have removed the "Payments in past 12 months" which is something we rely on heavily when managing our clients. There is now no way to see all payments by a particular client where there are credit notes applied or they have paid by different means (sometimes by card, sometimes DD and sometimes bank transfer) as we would have to search each account separately and manually pull out the credit note balances. Very laborious and this is information we use daily in our credit control procedures.

  9. Stop messing around with things that people haven't asked for and actually look at implementing things that have been asked for.
    The new look for customer and sales ledgers is awful. Why change it?
    When it comes to being easy to reconcile supplier ledgers Xero is already miles behind it's competitors but you've somehow managed to make it even worse!
    For example if there is an overpayment that you part allocate against a bill and then refresh the screen it shows that the bill is paid but the overpayment still shows that the full amount is to be used, it…

  10. In the bank feed section. Please make the vendor history available when going through bank feeds. QBO has a button in the bank feeds called Categorization History. This way to do not have to go into a contact page to view how something was coded in the past. This is for things without rules.

  11. The ability to add a Project (Revenue) Variation would be a huge help.

  13. It would be very helpful if any super that has had the 'Mark as Paid' applied was also shown on the superannuation status page and also on the Superannuation Payments Report too. It is a collaborative QA, transparancy/visibility thing that would be very helpful given we have clients, BASAgents, Bookkeepers and Accountants all trying to make sure a client meets all obligations so showing this would provide good clear confirmation as to what has occured no matter which 'advisor' with permission logged in - we can all support each other this way.

While our primary business banking account transactions import automatically via a bank feed, the process of importing the transactions from our payment processors/gateways into their respective bank accounts in Xero are manual and add many hours of admin - there is already some integration with these gateways to support payments and this could be extended to include transactions flowing into Xero.

  15. Adding a Categories/Tracking column to the transactions Dashboard. this would highlight the fact that a category label is missing. so when running the budget variances the report would include ALL the transactions for a specific category.

  16. Prior to the new reports we were able to select different colours for budget variances on our Xero reports. Green for on budget or better than budget and red for below budget.

    This was immensely useful when going through reports in monthly management meetings as it meant over or under performance in any line was easily recognisable.

  18. There should be a way to remove unnecessary motivational responses like "Great Job!" when finishing a bank reconciliation.

    I do the bank reconciliation every day and don't consider the task difficult or special, so the "Great Job!" just seems patronising. A simple "You've reconciled all the transactions for this account" is all that is necessary for a business application like Xero. Some people might like it but I'd prefer my accounting software to not pretend to have a personality like that.

  19. Add a section to manual journals so that you can make adjustments for a specific vendor (customer).
    For example, our customer signed a contract for subscription for 12 months. I show deffered revenue and then every month I transfer part of this deferred revenue to revenue. It is very difficult to track whether all deferred revenue has been converted into revenue if it is not possible to keep records of revenue by counterparties, especially if multi-currency accounting.

  20. Currently, Xero offers an excellent feature enabling us to view notes and actions related to invoices and transactions. However, I think it would be highly beneficial if we could also access a detailed history of changes made to reports, such as budget manager reports and GST. Recently, I've encountered instances where my final GST reports were inexplicably reverted back to draft status. This unexpected behavior has resulted in confusion and inefficiencies within our financial management process. Regrettably, I have been unable to identify the responsible party behind these changes, leaving me puzzled and concerned about the security of our data.
