  1. New Invoicing - Remove the edit button in the item list. It is inconvenient and makes completing an invoice with multiple items harder than the new invoicing already is.

    Appreciate customers use Xero in different ways, Meradene. Want to be open that we don't have any plans to remove this option, but we'll begin to get a sense of the interest of this from the idea here.

  2. We have a lot of transaction that include GST, but only on part of the purchase. (Mobile catering business where we shop a lot in supermarkets.) When adding details, it has been very helpful to have the transaction already split into two lines for GST-able component and GST-free component. When entering the amount of the payment that includes GST, (which has to be calculated as receipts mostly show GST included), it would be great if the GST-free line auto-filled with the balance. Obviously this wouldn't solve every breakdown of expenses, but it would save having to use the calculator where…

    Not something we have immediate plans for but appreciate the detail in your idea here, and we'll start to get an idea of the votes from community in this.

    In the meantime, will be dependent on how you enter transactions, but perhaps Bank Rules could enable you to apply based on proportions?

  3. Allow users to put in mileage claims at a nil rate per mile.
    This would allow the invoicing team to pick up mileage to charge to clients that is not claimed by operational staff: for example, where operational staff have a vehicle provided by the company.

  4. We have a large project with countless numbers of invoices assigned to the project. I would like an option to be able to "mark all untracked expenses as invoiced" so that we can see what has already been invoiced to the client and so that we can work out more accurate profitability figures. At present, each individual invoice needs to be marked off separately and this can take hours to mark them all off, particularly if the project is large.

  5. When the Strip transaction fees come across for UK customers, the VAT box states 'NO VAT'. All Stripe fees are VATable so the VAT box should be '20% VAT'
    Currently have to go into each transaction to change this manually.

  6. It would make sense to rename "Mileage Claim" to "Trip KM's" or something like that.
    There are only 3 countries around the world that officially still use the IMPERIAL system (Miles). United States, Liberia, and Myanmar.
    It's a term that doesn't come naturally to the rest of the world.
    In the back of my mind, I feel that I need to do a "KM's to Miles" conversion calculation, for every trip entry. Even though I know that's not necessary.

  8. tihs item is listed as completed, and closed for comment. A shame as it is partially completed only. Project Reports | Option to custom reports
    Please give us the option to also edit and custom project reports, I need to add fields, run reports by date and add calculation fields. Currently we have to export available reports and edit in excel, it would be great to do it in Xero.

    Either I have missed something or you still cannot add calculated fields? happy to by advised and corrected.

  9. To display the potential project margin % and variance from expected invoice and costs as baseline to compare with actual performance. OR allow the project report to be customised to add calculated fields. So staff can instantly see the potential of the project, and look to adjust if necessary before sending to quote or invoice.

  10. Once Payroll is posted we require the relevant reports (journal and activity), I feel a download link (alike the one for payslips) would be beneficial rather than having to view reports and then having to export download for printing or saving purposes, this would save users time.

  11. Looking for deleting wrongly created General Pool, which were created during the conversion of file to Xero Blue. Currently we can record an end date to the pool, but it doesn't stop the previous pools to stop appearing on the 'Run Depreciation' screen. No balances recorded, no movement at all.

  12. Nowadays everyone include a credit card surcharge when paying a bill. However when the bill is recorded originally, it is without the surcharge. When applying payment to the bill, if we are in the bill screen and we apply an amount higher than the original invoice it records as an overpayment and creates a credit note. There should be an option like in the bank rec screen where it allows us to type in the surcharge so that the surcharge takes the same character as the original invoice.   14. Our work is often quoted at the project level, with invoices being issued monthly for the duration of the project until the quoted amount has been paid and the project completed.

    Currently, we create the quote, and then subsequently create invoices - manually keeping track until the quoted amount has been invoiced, at which point we mark the quote as invoiced.

    It would be helpful if;
    - We could split the quote into N invoices automatically with the total invoiced amount over N invoices equalling the amount in the selected quote.

  15. I would like to add information such as the date their bank details were changed on Xero and whether independent verification of the new details has been done (and how). This is becoming more important as the number of phishing invoices increases. If possible, the capability to attach a relevant document (eg notification from supplier of bank change) but if not possible, then a decent character length text field (as a comparison, the current Reference field is way too short and doesn't allow puctuation).

  18. Within Files folder, to sort by drag and drop please? These are remittance advice for Gift Aid payments from HMRC and therefore not attached to any invoices BUT can get uploaded in the wrong order which is confusing for the auditor. Currently the only option is to download the whole contents, sort and reload.
    Also could it be made possible please to have subfolders so that we can easily divide eg monthly investment reports by financial year without having a long list of separate folders in the main index?

When you submit a transaction via the Expense Claims function, it will duplicate the Contact Name and add that into the front of the description, so when you run an Account Transactions report, it then shows the Contact Name twice (because all transactions automatically have the Contact Name added in at the start of the description already) but then the Expense Claims feature does it again, so your transaction report line item will show as "Supplier Name - Supplier Name - Description of transaction" instead of just "Supplier Name - Description of transaction".

    Can Xero remove the duplication here?

  20. Whilst being able to set-up a payment run directly within Xero is great and saves time, it can be tedious and difficult when trying to reconcile it on the bank.

    There are two things Xero should add:

    There is seemingly no way in the bills screen to review previous payment runs. Something that at least would make it easier to check back at what was included in that payment.

    It should also put all payments from one payment run as one batch payment in the bank rec screen. Otherwise no time at all is saved in reconciliation as you still…
