Invoice Templates - Standard Invoice Branding Theme to look more like Online Invoice

Ability to replicate standard invoice branding theme appearance to look like online invoice.

Purpose: To make the standard invoice appearance better and more presentable.

    The standard Xero invoice looks terrible.. with it's huge 'Tax invoice' jumping out at you! Just call it an 'Invoice' It's one of the reasons I can't make the switch to Xero, as my invoices look cleaner and more professional on preprinted stationery from an aging sage program. The Xero trial was good, then we got to the invoice settings, or lack of them.

    It seems like Xero might not prioritise professional presentation, as they haven't made any progress in addressing a seemingly simple text alignment issue over the years. Perhaps it would be beneficial to consider involving external help, like finding a talented designer on platforms such as Fiverr. Just a friendly suggestion!

    As per above point raised, it's very frustrating when the Xero invoice preview of a standard invoice is not replicated exactly when saved/printed in PDF format.

    The PDF version looks very messy and unprofessional. For example I've attached two PDF's of a client invoice, one of the preview screen and one of the saved PDF, the differences include:

    • The words DRAFT INVOICE go from being lined up nicely with the company logo on the right to being below the logo.
    • The To and From Headers are totally missing in the saved PDF.
    • The layout of the client, company and invoice information is clean and nicely out spaced out in the preview but totally different in the saved PDF.
    • Lastly the client VAT No. is displayed in the Preview version but not in the saved PDF.

    At present it feels like one previews a Word document and then when you save it or print it out it's quite different and I'm sure this shouldn't be a difficult fix!

    Please increase the amount of templates from 10 to 20. We need emails in 2 languages and 10 templates is super limiting. As a law firm we like to really personnalize the templates.

    Please can you make the standard Invoice templates more user friendly to be able to update the actual templates (currently cannot access those) have to make custom ones to enable change of all things like headings, wording, Contact details etc.
