Reporting - Option to add account numbers & zero balances to financial statements
Ability to have to have a check box for "Include Account Numbers" and "Include or Omit Zero balances".
Purpose: Because it demonstrates completeness to show that the balance actually is zero

    Hi everyone, as of today the ability to show nil(zero) balance accounts in reports is live to all users!
To confirm, there are 2 ways to turn this on. Either through a blanket selection in the Report preferences, or via a toggle on and off option within the 'More' menu of the following reports;
- Balance Sheet
- Profit & Loss (Income Statement)
- Statement of Cash Flows - Direct Method
- Trial Balance
- Cash Summary
- Movements in Equity
- Blank report
- And, Report templates

 commentedI created a report to export to excel. I want to make sure specific accounts are always included so that the layout in excel does not have to be updated everytime. It is also needed so we can see and confirm there was a zero balance.

 commentedWe need compare reports from xero to other software. WE have matched all our codes, and need to have this function to be able to export and match simply, without having to spend hours tring to findout what codes/accounts are missing. Other software has this available

 commentedThis has been a problem with Xero for years and creates additional work for most users. It seems like it should be a relatively simple thing to change. 
 I'm not sure how to interpret Xero's lack of action. Either making this change is more difficult than it seems of they simply don't care so long as Xero usage continues to rise. They assume it isn't putting users off enough so isn't a priority.
 There are only 91 votes here but I don't think there will be a single Xero user that this change wouldn't benefit.

 commentedWe are trying to consolidate 2 businesses' accounts. We've taken the effort to have them both on the same Chart of Accounts. Xero doesn't allow consolidation, so you have to do this manually in Excel (or other). The least you could do for us is allow us to export all out account data so we can consolidate them in Excel, without having to manually stitch it together every month. And for many other purposes, having a full readout every month of all your accounts is key for undertaking analysis, etc...

 commentedIt also ensures report format stability, so that each time a report is downloaded to excel it has the same account id's in the same excel row.

 commentedP&L and Balance Sheets to show all accounts even if $0 balance. We frequently export these reports to Excel and combine with earlier reports. The reports are basically always inconsistent in length as not all items are relevant for each period. If the reports had the option to display all accounts it would remove the need to continually manually manipulate the output.

 commentedWhy does Xero ignore this request? This has been an issue for a long time. It will clearly save users' a lot of time and I can't believe it is a complex thing to implement. 
 I can only assume so long as people continue to use the system they figure it doesn't really matter?

It is important - by being able to see a zero balance means we can easily look into the account to see why it is a zero balance (especially if we are not expecting it) but also easily allows us to look at transactions in that account.

 commentedXero already has the option to include All accounts, including zero balance for Reports: Account Transactions. Please extend the same feature to Profit and Loss, Trial Balance, and Balance Sheet
