Contacts - Different default email addresses for different transactions in Xero
Ability to allocate different transactions to different email addresses.
Purpose: Because it’ll make users’ workflow easier when they’re dealing with the contacts that have different departments.

Hi community, we appreciate your continued feedback on having different default email addresses for various transaction types in Xero contacts, and the manual steps involved to ensure you're communicating with the right person for different purposes.
Currently, one way of managing this in Xero would be to include every additional person on a contact record in emails, and then removing those that aren't required when sending each transaction. However we totally get this isn't the ideal solution.
While being able to set different email addresses for differing transaction types is something we want to address longer term, like the idea for multiple addresses work for this feature requires cross-collaboration between teams in order to achieve.
Once the multiple addresses feature is live this is something we'll be able to consider more closely and provide further updates on.
We do regularly review all ideas here, and your input is vital. We'll update you if anything changes. Thanks

Essential. It's like Xero expects only x1 user to be sending every single document from Xero and to know which email each document should go to....Surely a PO shouldn't be going to someones email that doesn't handle PO's from our company. Most companies have many different users doing many different documents and sending just as many emails. Makes no sense.

Essential to be able to send to different email addresses for different reasons. Looks like we will have to ditch Xero

This is absolutely essential to me. Some of our customers will not pay unless we send invoices and statements to the correct (separate) email addresses. It's most annoying having to go through every invoice and statement to make sure they are going to the correct email address.

This is a critical feature! We have many suppliers who require invoices and statements to be sent to separate email addresses. It is a hassle to remember this every time we send a statement email. Xero, you claim to be user-friendly and a modern platform; please move forward, not backward, as you have done with your recent so-called "updates."

The ability to be able to send invoices to accounts payable and remittances to accounts receivable along with purchase orders to an order email is a basic requirement for most businesses. Including this would remove a lot of manual intervention.

This is one of those clumsy Xero functionalities that desperately needs improving. Virtually all our customers have a a separate email for invoices from the one for accounts (i.e. where statements are sent). Yet, Xero has only one default email address, automatically used for both purposes. Just please sort this out!

This would be amazing! Often the quote & invoice needs to be sent to the job manager but only the accounts manager requires the statement (and/or invoice). This should definitely be an available feature!!

This is such a great idea and would save so much work. Many of our suppliers have a separate email address for Statements it would save a lot of time

Totally agree. We have the same problem, and it would be nice to take the stress out of having to send to multiple when they don't require it. This would be a handy feature not only for the business i work for but our own personal business also.

Totally agree with having the ability to send invoices, Purchase orders and statements to different emails.
One of my clients is a shop fitter and we send emails to their sales team which have a different email to the accounts department. Hence at the moment we are sending invoices & PO to both emails address. It would be great if this could be split so only the appropriate department received email.
