An error occurred while saving the comment James Beylotte commentedWe often copy a quote that has file attachments to send to a different contact. The copy of the quote retains the file attachment. However, when we change the Contact in the quote and save it, we lose the attached file. Could you please fix this so that the file attachments remain with the quote when changing the contact?

Hi everyone, totally get wanting to get an update from us on the idea here. Having a fair amount of interest from users I can say that Quote reminders are defintiely on the teams radar, however with current focus largely on new invoicing we do not have any immediate plans for this in the next 6 months.
I can assure you, though we mightn't be able to provide updates as frequently as you'd like to see, our product teams are heavily involved in the forums here and our community team often connect to share trends, discuss developments and externally communicate changes that are coming across Xero products. It's important to us to continue developing Xero to streamline payments and help our customers get paid sooner, and your idea here does sit in this realm.
When the teams resources open up and we can consider new development in Quotes like being…

Hi everyone, we thank you for your support on the idea here. We understand the needs of being able to attach documents when sending Purchase Orders, however we want to be transparent that this is not planned work at this time.
To begin, purchase orders need an update and this will be a focus for the team before enhancements like this can be considered. We will keep you updated of any related changes, here.

Hi community, some time passed since our last update in the thread here we do want to return and share - while our product teams explored possibilities for how we might represent Purchase Orders in Projects research has confirmed that there is underlying work needed to the platform Purchase Orders are built on before we can achieve any good outcomes of your needs here.
We have enthusiasm and a close eye remaining on the support for this, but want to be honest that this is not something that we’ll be able to focus our attentions on in the near future.
Once we have completed work first needed in the Purchase Orders space we can reassess how to integrate purchase Orders into Projects and will update you all of steps forward, here.An error occurred while saving the comment James Beylotte commentedFrom the Project view we need to see all associated Purchase Orders so we know if material has been ordered. It will also help us verify if project bills are legitimate.

An error occurred while saving the comment James Beylotte commentedYes, PLEASE include Projects in financial reports (filters, "group by", columns, ...) because in the Construction industry there is retainage withheld on projects and we need to be able to track this

I use this monthly to make sure transactions associated with projects are associated with the proper account code for reporting sales tax.

Hi everyone, while we still have more changes planned in this space I wanted to fill you in on the more recent changes in this space.
We have now added the ability to view the email an invoice was sent to in history, as well as adding timestamps for more insight into when an event was made.

Hi everyone, we appreciate wanting the ability to assign files to the project itself. While this isn't something we have planned right now we'll keep tracking the interest through the idea here.
To highlight, though not currently available on the Project directly, it's possible to attach files to the individual transactions within a project e.g a Bill, Invoice, Spend money or Expense. i
Along with this, you may also find it useful to create folders within your Files library where you can collect all files related to a specific project for ease of reference.
Understand this isn't the ideal solution, but may help some for now 🙂

Hi everyone, while our team considered solutions in this space with other pieces of work planned there is no current development planned for adding a notes or description field within Projects at this time.
For now, as you may be aware you can add notes to the History and notes of the individual transactions within a project, or alternatively on the Contacts record.
We're continuing to watch this space and will share if there is any progress.

This would be very helpful to us!
Furthermore, in the Contact, we would like the ability to map each email address to specific items: PO, Invoice, Quote, Remittance, Invoice Reminder, etc. because there are too many emails associated with each Contact and not everyone in our organization knows which email address to use for each type of item.
