It's disappointing that this intercompany functionality is no longer working for the "Updated version".

Disappointed that the voting system is not working here and wonder if this is deliberate as you won't really be able to see how much this is a needed feature if the voting system has been disabled.

Very disappointed. I think this was a key feature and a differentiator for Xero. It will definitely increase my job role and I will definitely get paid slower.

I cannot believe Xero are not continuing this functionality in new invoicing.
It’s such a time saver. Everything about the new invoice format is adding time to our jobs. Can we charge the additional hours to Xero as I don’t think our clients would appreciate their bills going up.
The other alternative for us is to switch to a different software.

Xero to Xero has been a godsend for our intercompany invoicing. It cut down on so much work. The decision to remove it is asinine and does nothing to improve the functionality of Xero. It only achieves the opposite

Agree with all the comments here. Xero to Xero functionality is a key component of Xero invoicing and essential to how we use Xero. Not great at all if the new invoicing system does away this - otherwise are we saying that Xero to Xero is going to be discontinued then on 1st September 2024? We've not been notified that Xero to Xero is being discontinued....

The 'Send via Xero Network' function critical for our work in Xero and managing multiple client companies that have inter company loans. It would be a huge bummer if the xero to xero feature disappears once the new invoicing system starts.

Xero regularly make very poor decisions and removing Xero to Xero is at the top of the list.

The 'Send via Xero Network' function is a great one to use when using multiple companies within Xero. It would be a shame to see it removed. We moved to Xero because of these little great functions when comparing to Sage. Removing them removes some of the benefit of something like Xero and potentially people start looking at Sage again.

Hello, I am very concerned that this feature will be deprecated. I use this feature with every invoice I send. How can I send invoice via Xero Network with new invoicing? Will this be implemented before the new invoice format takes over Sept 1, 2024? Or will this NECESSARY feature be deprecated?

Xero to Xero Functionality is ESSENTIAL for us - we use it for all of our intercompany invoices.
The 'new' invoicing function is not as user friendly and forcing people to use Peppol where they need to pay another fee is ridiculous.
Can you at least reconsider 'retiring' the classic invoicing.

Hi Kelly that is disappointing. We have been witnessing a slow decline in functionality. Xero to Xero invoicing apparently dead ( I will still with old invoicing as long as possible). Importing Xero subscription invoices does not work anymore....what next?

Hi. We require Xero-to-Xero invoicing for intercompany transactions. The proposed e-invoicing solution is not suitable for us because some of our Xero companies are part of the same legal entity, such as trust funds. They are not separate entities, making it impossible to register them individually for e-invoicing.

While I understand that Xero may not want to develop the Xero-to-Xero function, why completely remove it from the new invoicing system? I agree with the previous comments that the new invoicing system is unattractive and malfunctioning. Personally, I am concerned about the upcoming retirement of the old version in September. It's disheartening to witness a once elegantly designed accounting software now comprised of unappealing and unnecessary modules.

I can no longer send my invoices to my customers. I am a Xero advisor. I should be able to send my invoices to my own customers. Why are you ruining a good thing and why can't I vote or the other people here vote. I do not like the new invoicing at all. I love the classic invoicing. Leave the classic invoicing for those who need the xero to xero feature or put the xero to xero feature in the new invoicing. WHEN YOU HAVE A GOOD THING YOU DON'T GO BACKWARDS!

Once again Xero proving that the developers/ community managers aren't actually users of the system. The Xero network sending option was great for sending intercompany transactions, and should be reinstated in the new invoicing as the alternative is terrible. Pushing these changes out and removing functionality for an "improvement" is the sort of decision that frustrates long time users and makes the product worse, and the fact they don't seem to realise or care is more proof they are getting further out of touch with actual users.

XERO is too focused on making CUSTOMERS pay more by removing previously available functionality and then forcing them to pay XERO Partners to keep the same capability.
It happened with expenses early on, and now it just keeps happening across other areas like the Xero network.
Would be interesting to learn how much of a fee Peppol pays to Xero?

The loss of Xero to Xero functionality is disastrous for all our intercompany transactions. It will eliminate a lot of the time saving that made us choose Xero in the first place.

Just to clarify, the customers I used to send invoices through Xero to Xero now have to download something to access this Peppol network (first I've ever heard of it). Where are the instructions for this? Is it in PDF format and plain speak so that we can ask our clients to do whatever they need to do to receive our invoices. Hopefully our customers don't mind doing this but at this stage we'll go old school and email the invoices.

Xero to Xero worked, the old adage "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" comes to mind.

I have been advised to look at eInvoicing. Why? Why are you removing Xero to Xero. We are a group of companies with one accounts department. Are you saying we pay more money for another functionality! Because we all know the free versions are always limited. The Xero to Xero lets our employees send intercompany invoices easily and they don't get 'lost', believe me, before this function was available it was a small nightmare! It seems when you retire the classic invoicing function we will revert back to chaos....and when will Peppol be available in South Africa? There are currently only 37 countries in the world that have membership.
