Contacts - Default cursor to search
I'd just like the cursor to already be IN the search field when I open Contacts please.
Thanks
We understand why this idea is quickly gaining traction. Being able to start typing in the search bar as soon as the contacts page loads would be a small but meaningful improvement.
Right now, the cursor doesn’t land in the search bar by default, so it’s an extra click each time.
This idea's now in the Gaining Support stage. If it’s something that would make a difference to your workflow, adding your vote or comment helps us understand the wider demand—and gives our product team more to work with when prioritising updates.
We’ll post here with any changes or progress.

I started to experience the same a few days ago and it is absolutely not helpful to introduce the change like this. What was the purpose of it?

Totally agree with Melissa, this is yet another silly change/feature to the system, my cursor also only started doing this this week. Very time consuming and frustrating.

When I create a new invoice and Tab through the fields filling them out, a few days ago, the PRICE field used to default to the price being highlighted, so you could immediately start typing a price.
Today I start doing some invoices and all of a sudden, the cursor now defaults to the end of the 0.00, so when I start typing, I get the price of 0.00440, instead of $440. What a pain in the butt honestly.
After some searching, I see others complained about this months ago.
No idea why our system just started doing it today though. The previous complaint was inside another thread, so perhaps was missed.
PLEASE fix

Definitely agree - I previously used QuickBooks which has this functionality so by clicking on contacts you can just start typing rather than having to do another click before you start. It's a really useful function and I miss it now that the company I work for uses Xero
