  1. Move "jax" and the new "Apps" icons into the Company Drop Down on the right hand side so they don't clutter our tool bar and you can go in there and chose to activate them or not.
    Give us some choice please - I'm not loving having the search icon so far over now, as it has to make space for these 2, which I will not be using.
    p.s. I did sign up for the Beta of jax and the first answer was wrong...

    We don't have any plans for changing the placement of the JAX icon atm, but it'll be good to get a sense from the community that also feel this way, here. We're keeping a close eye on feedback, and I'll let you know if there's any news to share with you here.

  2. Audit trail of logins to Xero - there seems to be a series of different visual aids and short screen reports showing when a user last logged in, however from an audit perspective, it would be ideal to have a report that can be run for set periods showing when users have logged in. The information to run this type of report is there from the History and Notes report and the Assurance Dashboard. However a report that shows a time/date stamp would be ideal as evidence in cases of fraud/performance management

  3. Please fix the Account setting for the Log in to preference so that it works as advertised.
    Currently the option to log in to "The organisation I was last in" does NOT work as advertised. It will log me in to a seeminly random organisation from the list of my organisations.
    I believe that it is logging me into the "Last organisation that ANYONE was in"

    Hi community, returning back to this idea and connecting with product we've found users in the same situation have often accessed Xero from a saved bookmark.

    If you're still running into the same and have saved a bookmarked URL to access Xero we'd recommend removing this, and going to my.xero.com, or login.xero.com to login to Xero.

    If the issue persists it's really best for our specialists at Xero Support to investigate further. You can reach them by raising a case through Xero Central.

  5. Please make audible alerts to "messages", tips, etc optional.
    I wear earphones and work across multiple devices and it is quite irritating to hear "bloop" when working across multiple tabs.

    We don't need more vapid sounds in our lives!

  7. Its a small change but something that bugs me as i do it at least once, sometimes twice, a day.

    Currently the "trust this device" check box is below the login button. If logging in solely on a keyboard you have to enter 2fa code, tab twice and hit the space bar to check the trust this device box then shift tab to go back up to the login button. So the keystrokes are enter 2fa, tab, tab, space, shift tab, enter

    If the check box was between the password and login button then it would be, enter 2fa code,…

  9. completing a cert IV in accounting and bookkeeping you have to become a user for approximately 10 different companies. Therefore once you have finished your course they sit in your My Xero, the only way to remove yourself as a user it to do each one, can you have an option to remove yourself as a user for multiple companies in one step.

    Hi Damien, we'll need a bit more information on your workflow to best understand your needs here, and this would be best raised with our support team directly as a start.

    It doesn't look like you've been in touch with our specialists at Xero Support yet, so I'd recommend raising a case with them through Xero Central where they'll be able to get more detail of your processes and if there's any recommendations they can make to help you to censor sensitive information from your staff.

  11. I think it would be great to have a screen to manage notifications settings.
    This could present a long list of notifications for different things (e.g. for me the important ones are activity statement due soon, STP filing overdue).
    For each item, the user could select if they want it active, how they want to be notified (e.g. header line, or in a widget), and whether to be emailed (very helpful for people like me who only log in once or twice a week and do a days work).

  13. For the 'approve and pay' user the remittance function is limited. They should have the functionality to send remittances on a batch payment and also be able to access the remittance button at a later date. An admin member of staff needs access to the full remittance capability in order to complete their duties fully.

  15. It would be useful if a feature was added so that when granting access to users you can choose which reports they have access to. At the moment, in order to give any member of a business access to see any report they may need or find useful they will also have access to view far more intrusive reports like full Profit & Loss reports and Balance Sheets. A current situation we are trying to deal with is that our client would like one of their managers to provide them with estimated figures for specific expenses in order for them…

  16. Feature: I'd like to be able to format the [Due Date] field when it's included in email templates.

    Use Case: My standard emails include a line which reads "This invoice will be due for payment by 09 Oct 2023". I have to reformat the date to a more readable style every time.

    Basic Outcome: Using standard date formatting you should be able to express the date as "Monday 9 October, 2023" - note that the leading "0" on the date number has been omitted, and also the inclusion of a comma after the month.

  18. It would be helpful to be able to add shortcut icons on the dashboard for all of the things you use every day instead of having to go through the dropdown menus. (similar to the way the old quickbooks used).

    For example, have a way to put an "invoice" icon on the dashboard. Or add "spend money" on the dashboard. Basically have a way to add whatever shortcut icons you want as every business is different.

    Hi community - There are a few shortcuts that can help you get around and create transactions from many screens in Xero.

    The '+' icon next to Search in the blue banner enables you to create a range of different document types, similarly there are shortcuts that can be entered in Search from the blue navigation bar that will take you to different features for example entering 'r' you can quickly select and be taken to 'All reports'

    Are there other specific shortcuts you'd want to see here? 

  19. Xero now has a vast database of businesses many of which are profitable, and many of which are probably less so. At any rate, it has access many savvy business individuals who have capital willing to invest within and outside of their boarders. Perhaps it could create a meeting place for willing buyers and sellers of businesses. I for one am ready to retire. My business is marginal but has opportunities for someone who wants to get into my domestic market.

    Very interesting idea, Myles. It's not something that exists atm, but I've shared back with our team that manage our website. We'll keep an eye on the interest from others in this here and let you know if there's any updates to share.

  20. As you’ve found, right now it’s not possible to only show the organisations logo or to remove the organisation name from the email. This would help in customizing what is shown to recipients/clients.
